That's a good progress for 1 day, in a week or 2 it will be much better, keep on pushing :')

good job dude, front tails are such a mental battle for me, they seem simple enough but it's so hard for me to confidently sit on top of them i always half ass them and cant lock in
@midskateboarder8 ай бұрын
i get it, i have the same problem with nose slides. just gotta really think of it like a tail/nose stall and hope that eventually the muscle memory kicks in

Interesting, my third curb/ledge trick, after front 50s and noseslides, was a front tail as well, back in the day (mid 90s, old head here). In my 40s now, these are something I really need to be in the mood for to even try. What helps for me is turning my back foot and leg ever so slightly more forward before popping, aiming to ollie at a 45 degree angle (you'll complete the other 45 degrees mid-air) and - if the obstacle is a bit tall - aiming to bone the ollie out a bit like with a one-foot

I just turned 40 myself and got back into skating a few years ago

I’ll try the 45 degree angle out, I definitely wasn’t coming at that big of an angle!
@ariekanibalie6 ай бұрын
@@midskateboarder I don't mean approaching at a 45 degree angle - I prefer coming at enough of an angle to get the tail on - but when you ollie, so not stressing too much about doing a 90 degree ollie, but popping the tail and leveling out the board at a 45 degree angle (or less) relative to the curb ;)

This makes so much sense😮 thanks for that!@@ariekanibalie

@@tumelo4526 Go for it, bro! Just did some the other day on a new curb - very fun and cool trick, even if it's considered a basic one. Another thing you can try, especially if it's a low obstacle, is to pop with a slight scoop, like when doing a front shuv. Then just commit to standing on your back foot

Congrats on the front tail.

Nice one. I think the box was moving a little. You got it. I just think this trick is cool. I am going to go for it thanks.
@midskateboarder4 ай бұрын
yea my box is pretty sketchy haha ive lately been pushing it up against a curb or wall so it doesnt move as much go for it dude! throw a few tail stalls out and then see if you can add speed. i can still get them on occasion but i have to work up to it every time

Dude this fo socks are great but I'm always so hot in them, can't believe you've got what looks like another pair of socks on over them, just curious what your reasoning for that is?

lol they are ankle braces, my ankles are fucked and I was rolling one every couple weeks. since wearing them I never rolled an ankle again
@mikel14258 ай бұрын
Gee, this trick kills me. Could never slide them, usually hit the wheel, but haven’t tried in a while. Try 5-0 180 out. You grind it tweaked out (called a suski) but not as extreme as that one you did near the end!
@midskateboarder8 ай бұрын
the only few i have slid really well I have gone out to fakie, one of the comments on my video suggested doing that on purpose to get the hang of it. it's still a hard trick for me, i'm trying to make my noseslides better as I feel like that will help too
