Mila experienced several symptoms in the months leading up to her cervical cancer diagnosis. About two months before her diagnosis, she started feeling a small lump inside her cervix. When I has my hysterectomy for endometriosis they found a small spot of cancer on my cervix. I waa bleeding every week fir two mos before my surgery. I am now a 32 year survivor.

My daughter was misdiagnosed and told that women just have to deal with heavy bleeding and pain. When she could no longer stand at work she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

So sorry. I was blown off when I flatly told the Dr. What to look for. Serious genetic cancer that took 2 immediate family members. 3rd member survived because of her vigilance. Dr. didn't even test me for what I needed her to test me for. Could have started treatment months earlier if this negligent dr. actually listened to her patient and did correct testing. She did NO testing. It's negligence and a crime. I'm so sorry you experienced the same with your beautiful daughter.❤

I battled high risk hpv for 8 years. Multiple biopsies. One pre cancerous mass removed. I’ve begged for hysterectomies. They just let it turn into cancer nowadays. They say it has to become invasive cancer to do a hysterectomy. I sincerely despise our health care system. Thankfully a product from Italy finally cured it when nothing else would. Bc they don’t profit off their peoples poor health like we do here and don’t let it develop into invasive cancer. I’m so sorry your daughter and all women who have had it put off/misdiagnosed have suffered. If it was one of their daughters they wouldn’t have waited.

I'm sorry you developed this type of cancer. Did you go through Chemo, Radiation or Trials? Was the HPV the reason you developed the cancer?

I was raped throughout my entire “childhood” starting at a very early age. Thus, I’m more acceptable to HPV or Cervical Cancer. Thankfully, I don’t have any of the symptoms that you mentioned. Though, I’ve felt not-great recently… I’m always hungry, I get random tension headaches, I feel emotional, and my memory is just awful, etc. I hope I don’t have Cervical Cancer.

Please go and get a Pap smear. It takes a long time to develop. However, if caught early you have such a better chance. It’s scary, but believe me it has to be done.

How did you feel the lump inside of your cervix? Cervix is in deep in the body. How did you reach your cervix?

Her abnormal PAP probably said indeterminate squamous cells... and then the subsequent biopsy showed a carcinoma. And how do you feel a lump on your cervix?

You put 2 fingers in and feel your cervix how else do you think she felt it? That's what they do sometimes other than just pap smears they do a pelvic/cervical exam this way

My sorority sister was diagnosed at 26 and tells the same story. She slept around and contacted HPV which led to cervical cancer. Sadly, she had to have a hysterectomy and does not know which guy gave her the HPV -- And, who she has given HPV to .....

I can reach up, depending on my cycle and if it is to high I press a bit. Women who do NLP or use a diaphragm or a portio cap need to feel fir the cervix. Please explore your own body.

PSA: HPV is linked to cervical cancer. The guardrail vaccine can help prevent HPV. In Canada, they start offering it to kids at age 12 through the public school system. Talk to your doctor about getting vaccinated and definitely make sure your children are vaccinated.
