Emotional and psychological abuse is so much worse than physical. What proof do you have that you are living with a man that hates you? I was begging my husband to hit me. He would never leave marks, but he destroyed me. I left before the marriage could kill me. Thank God, we had no children (I would have loved and treasured them, if I had been so blessed).

I would say if you are being abused in any way, psychological abuse, emotional abuse, Narcissistic abuse, sexual abuse is as dangerous and the urgency to leave is as important.

Thank you sweet one for sharing this story. Your former husband sounds like a person with NPD. Would love a video on the unclean spirit of NPDs. Many of us suffered in marriages for many years, confused, unhappy, lonely. I am recently divorced after a 30-year-marriage of this abuse.

Idk if im being manipulated like his changes are a tactic to get me to stay in the marriage. He says I lack sexual jntamcy. And I do bc I don’t feel connected or seen. I feel used to cater. However I feel he’s been neglecting me. I feel second class to his hobby. We’re on verge of divorce. But since he knows I’m serious and not crying in these convos anymore. He said he’s gonna participate now. He says he doesn’t know what to talk to me about anymore but we’ve been married so long and have talked about everything now. So I need friends. He admitted he was wrong when he said I didn’t need them and prevented making them. He’s capable of accountability but only happens when he feels like I’m leaving. Now he’s doing all these changes but I feel he’s doing them disgruntled and taking what I said in his own interpretation like a said for him to stop yelling and cussing at us. So he’s like sorry the downstairs is still a mess. I’m not allowed to yell in my house now so the kids didn’t respond to me telling them 10x. But I’m not allowed to yell. Or buying his own dinner instead of eating what I made when I said I wish he’d get his plate instead of walking awayfrom it and making me bring it to him. I don’t think he truly wants to change. I feel a resistance and if I try to work on this for the 7th time he’s gonna revert back to being catered to and me being put on the back burner. But be my fault if we get divorce cuz he did all these changes yet I haven’t gave more sex. He’s starting to act nicer. He actually got off the game this morning to give me a kiss and say good morning. Been saying thank you lately. I really don’t trust this ‘change’ honestly.
