I didn’t include Rent because we pay yearly in Nigeria. Our rent is between $200/#342,000- $300/512/700 a year.

So rentals are really cheap there😢…in Zim that range of $200-$300 is a monthly rental even more regardless of town or city for a full house

@PleasantGreetings2u

That seems to be a very good monthly budget for you and your family. Here in the US, we would gladly rejoice over a $300 monthly budget but as you shared the cost of living is very different in Western and European countries. It's always smart to include for miscellaneous items in your budget. Rice and different types of beans are always a good staple to help stretch family means. Different types of inexpensive pasta are good to stretch meals too. Dyna, the word Frugal should be your new best friend now that you're back in Nigeria. My advice to everyone around the world is to say that in these uncertain and in these unstable financial times, don't waste money on unnecessary expenses. Do treat yourself occasionally to remain sane but became a frugal person and save if you are able to save. In some western countries, eating out every day for lunch and dinner can be wasteful. Budget for everything you spend. If we all budget to live below our previous monthly spending from several years ago, we'll survive this worldwide financial and economic downturn.

I make my own hair, I never knew in my wildest dream that I was going to do that for myself. I have to do thank God the ability and patience. I was forced to do it, after I relocated to the U.S. But I actually desired to do that so I prayed and it’s a testimony the spirit of God the great teacher did it beyond my comprehension. Some of the hair dos/stye, I have never seen anyone else with that specific style. It just comes to my imagination. It’s the awesome that sometimes people will be admiring it, to the point of walking up to me and saying I love your hair and wanting photos. The creative genius aspect of these hair styles it can only be a miracle

My husband is abroad too and I’m here with our 3kids and a nanny. I’m finding it difficult to understand that 500k finishes before the month ends. Majorly the money goes on food/groceries. When I buy fuel from filling station it is 80k for a month but I spend more when I have to do black market. The miscellaneous expenses be doing it’s own too. Medicines we don’t plan for. Repairs that come up unexpectedly etc in-fact it’s just crazy. We just have to keep living. The Lord is our strength.

Mind you?? Some people work 2jobs so do ur calculations on that, if you have kids ur kids go to sch for free 😂😂, In nigeria only fuel done collect all ur money if u work remotely ur in problem 😂 solar isn’t even relabel u will need to pick time to switch it on, if not u sleep in darkness if you don’t have light, did I mention security?? For those living in north and south east understand that anything can just happen but just been careful of ur lifestyle,2 plus 2, if the government could provide security, or rather good amenities, Nigeria will be a home no one wants to leave
