Girlll! I fell in love with your personality! I subscribed right away. Little tips from a holistic nutritionist: 1: try to eat more protein during your feast days. Steak, chicken, salmon etc. Less carbs as it will make you feel hungry the next day 2: try to take a shot of 1/2 tea spoon of salt and water on your fasting days. Sodium helps with hunger and it’s an electrolyte 3: get your self a non sweeten electrolyte powder to drink during your feast or fast days. Mineral deficiency happens a lot when you start fasting 4: be aware of your period cycle. Watch Dr. mindy Pelz. You’ll learn that it’s always hard to fast before or during your period. And super easy the week following your cycle. Overall great job 🎉

@NazAxmed #3, you have a good brand name?

I have to object, too many animal products produce acids. Longevity researchers report that too much protein from animals makes you age faster. I can recommend Michael Greger, USA who explains the studies easily. It is better to introduce vegetable proteins, such as pulses. Carbohydrates are not unhealthy per se, the intestine needs them to create a healthy environment, the intestinal bacteria use them as food. Today we know that good intestinal bacteria are important for good health.

Wholesome carbohydrates such as whole grains of barley, rye, oats the less processed a food, the less the blood sugar level rises, the less hunger. Eat lots of salad and vegetables to fill you up, as many have less than 50 kcal per 100g, so you can eat your fill. Saturated fatty acids and cholesterol should be reduced as they promote coronary heart disease.

Keto is really very unhealthy. All studies have shown this and you can't keep it up for the rest of your life. Look at the calorie density of your food, you can eat as many vegetables and salads as you are full, less than 50 kcal/100g, then root vegetables up to 100kcal/100g unprocessed carbohydrates, such as barley, oats, rye grains cooked, a little over 100 kcal/100g, then legumes cooked, around 120 kcal/100g. Fats should only be eaten in whole foods and should be avoided or very limited during the weight loss period. 1 tablespoon of oil has 120 kcal! Better nuts and seeds, olives instead of olive oil. For frying, buy Airfreyer, fry onions with vegetable stock, also works as they caramelise. You here on YT

Been doing a combination of ADF and rolling 72's. I stay strictly low carb/low sugar (I'm insulin resistant). Coupled my new lifestyle with some youtube exercise videos 4-5 times a week. Down almost 40lbs since July. My mantra is the things I am craving will STILL be available once I reach my goal.

Congrats on the loss, thats really good!! Trust the process and stay the course. It will happen!!! Fasting is a muscle that has to be grown and developed. The hunger will subside the more your hormones normalize. The insomnia is normal and it will pass. I've been fasting since March and I feel a-ma-zing and you will too.

I’m just like you I start something and then don’t finish and try to say that it’s not for me. I have a reason to lose it but I’m not putting in the needed work to make it happen! I get discouraged because it’s not happening fast enough, but my husband keeps telling me it’s going to take time but I will get results I just have to keep pushing! I want to lose 90 lbs! I am on day one of my 3 day liquid diet. And I feel so good. I feel like i got this down path. I am wanting to do ADF soon. I am 226. I had gotten down to 221 but got back up to 226. But I am not worried. I gotten vsg but i wasnt ready and only lost 60 pounds. But I do not regret vsg. And keep going. Just need to pray and ask God whoever you believe in to take away the spirit of overeating and not following a diet. I feel its spirit. Its bad habit. And im overcoming it. I feel weight loss is so spiritual and really the power of the mind. If you say you can overcome it you can overcome it. Thanks for posting this.

Yes, I believe its spiritual as well. Anytime I try to lose weight and not ask GOD for help I fall flat on my face every time. This week was going strong up until I got an abscess from a tooth infection. I was fasting and went in for an emergency dental appointment and was told I have to get on antibiotics and I have to eat with them per Dr. orders. So ADF is paused for now, but I'm getting back to it after the meds. I have to take them before and after the procedure. I will keep you guys posted on Insta and hopefully I will remember to post it here. Insta is much more convenient! I'm not giving up. Small set back to a major comeback!!!! Hi! Make sure you are taking a Potassium supplement as well as a Magnesium supplement. Those will kill the hunger cravings, it helped me soo much! I struggled like you have with hunger. I found that drinking gatorade zero also helps keeps my electrolytes balanced. and on my eating days, I only eat once so my insulin only spikes once during the day. On my days at work I make sure my meal is on my lunch break at work. Then it's at a regular time making counting the fasting hours easier. Hope my suggestions work as well for you as they have for me!

Quita you are not alone. You are doing great girl! I too have been considering VSG.. I made an appointment on August 30th and canceled the appointment because I asked myself have I really been giving this weight loss thing a try. I tried ADF earlier in the year, recorded it had intentions on posting it…but never posted (I got scared😳) . I got up to a week, lost 7 pds…got beside myself and fell off. I was so discouraged and disappointed that I never tried again. After that I was diagnosed with diabetes and got down really hard on myself. I been saying I was gonna try it again…you motivated me! I’m getting back on my grind. I’ve also been taking ozempic and it’s been helping as well! Keep it up Gurl you got it!!! Can’t wait for week 2 video!!

Good luck to you on your journey. I know from experience over my 76 years how difficult it is to lose weight. You are beautiful just the way you are, but I understand why you want to lose weight for your health. You can do it. I really support you in what you are doing. You don’t look heavy enough to consider weight loss surgery. I really hope you can continue with this diet, but should you decide it’s not for you, you may just want to consider eating most things but just cutting down on portions, and eating less carbs. I tried every diet for many years and finally just decided to cut down on my portions, eat one slice of bread for lunch instead of two. Ate more fruit and veggies. And upped the exercise. I walked a lot, or if I couldn’t get out to walk, I would put some music on and dance 2 or 3 times a day for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. I lot 40lbs and I kept the weight off for many many years. I recently gained 25lbs in a short period of time from medication I had to go on for a serious health condition. You have a great personality. Best wishes to you. It is one of the most difficult things to do. Good luck. Hugs, ❤️❤️🇨🇦

Progress has been slow, but I put this weight on slow. So I try not to let it get me down that I'm losing the wright slowly. This has been a difficult journey and will be so rewarding once I reach my weight los goals. I'm not giving up! Love your comment!

I think you nailed it when you said you didn't eat enough on one of those days. If you don't eat a full satiating meal, you're gonna struggle the next day. Also, what really helped my esults is on my eat day I ate healthier foods. Spinach, broccoli, salmon, almonds...ect. Burger and fries will give you lesser results. (Speaking from experience) I also know that when you're cooking for others...it's tough to get them on the same track because as you mentioned, they are not on a diet. I started sneaking veggies and substituting healthier options in my family dinners and they never knew the difference! 😅😇 Anyway...I'm super proud of you for the 9 lb weight loss! 💪🏾

Thank you for the motivation😊 I am entering week #40 of my weight loss journey. One of my goals is to be down 50 pounds by December 31. I have accomplished quite a few of my goals thru intermittent fasting and exercising. Big accomplishment A1C down to 6.1 from 13.4. I started ADF on August 26 and my plan is to do 90 days😊 My plan is do 24 hours not 36 hours. I got great results with my blood glucose during 36-hour fast hopefully I can accomplish the same with the 24 hours. My next goal is get my A1C under 5.7. Striving to eat between 8am and 4pm. I agree. I cannot be in the same room with other people eating on my fast days. At night, when I’m most hungry, I isolate in my room. Tonight, I made a yummy chocolate cake for tomorrow. I did not lick my fingers. I do much better when I’m at home because I live alone. Tomorrow grand children will visit but its my feeding day. When I get famished and break down on a fast day, I sometimes allow myself to drink no more than 8 oz of diet soda.

Hi Quita. Can you please share your salmon recipe?
You can get the Walden Farms 0 cal syrup. Or you can use the sugar-free syrup with less calories. Never eat a dry pancake it’s not worth it… Lol.

I'll try it 😆. The honey butter is quite good though lol.

You’re doing quite well, but I would suggest that you cut your carbs back because they can truly make you hungry since you have insulin resistant it would be better for you. Still cut your carbs back eat more protein and you would feel fuller

Did you know that you can have 500 calories on your fast day and still get the same results.
