Frozen banana and strawberries in a blender with a tiny bit of honey or t spoon of sugar makes a gorgeous ice cream and that tspoon of sugar is only 20 calories the banana only 120 and And forget how much the strawberries are. :) but yeah that for breakfast doubles on your cravings. Its delicious as a homemade dairy free ice cream and is two portions if fruit in one go.

I think people go a little overboard, I mean even 5minutes is better than nothing, you know? 10 jumping jacks or sit ups don't kill you. You can't just magically lose weight by NOT exercising. Not exactly saying it doesn't work. lol

i play zumba and dancing games on my xbox kinnect and it really does work! I have been doing that for a year now and its just great and so much fun. It is great cardio and you do not feel like its exercise. :)

I have almost the exact same story. I didn't know about health in my teenage years, put on mass amounts of weight in university (I was about as heavy as you if not heavier), and through simple portion control, healthy choices and light exercise i am now happily 30 pounds lighter!! its amazing what you can do by taking matters into your own hands and how much better you feel overall :) keep it up!

I know 13 pounds in 2 years isn't a lot. But this video still inspires me because I cannot believe you used to look like that! I hate when beauty gurus talk about being thin and losing weight when they've never been "heavy" in the first place. I know for my height I'm underweight. I just don't eat a lot and sometimes my eating schedule is ruined whenever I wake up late. Because I don't like rice much, I snack more in-between heavier meals. I definitely use shopping to exercise since I'm usually there for at least 2 hours. I never over indulge myself, except candy.. I need my sugar since I feel like my sugar level is easily lowered, but other than that I'm always eating healthy and drinking health teas. I love my veggies and fruits!

good on you Suzi :) congratulations on getting to a happy place... big mistake for people too is confusing hunger with thirst. If in doubt, have a big glass of water, wait a while and majority of the time you'll realise, hey I'm not even that hungry, or im not hungry at all!

I've lost 3 stone, I wasn't fat just started getting chubby. I didn't go to the gym once. I walked everywhere and had 3 meals a day but now that I'm happy I have a day just like Suzi on a Sunday and eat everything I want!

I agree with everything you said about portion controlling, not starving yourself and also enjoying your exercise routine. I do yoga , kickboxing and plyometrics each on alternate days of the week and may be run on the treadmill twice a week( total workout 5 days/week)

For the past 3 years, I've considerably cut out a lot of fast food, and oily things like chips and I barely crave for it, maybe once in 4 months and I barely drink soda anymore. :D I'm so happy about that. I always try to opt for the healthier versions when eating at school like a sandwich with has meat and lots of veggies, but when I eat out with friends is usually when I give a cheat, but then again.. I don't eat out much either.

One of the easiest things you can do, and this is a trick models use too. Ice water. But it has to be ICE water not just cold. The ice water will sorta make your metabolism go in to shock (its not dangerous or anything) and make it speed up. Drinking like 8 oz can help you burn up to an extra 200 calories a day. I use this all summer.

Hi Suzie, you can eat yogurt in the morning, eat japanese food, do light weight body exercises for 10 minutes. Opt for healthy alternative cooking, eg you can eat Viet food with Tommy. Hope this helps!!

I want to join the gym and lose weight, I have always been slim but after about the age of 21 when I started working, I gained so much weight. I'm not big, I'm still a size 10, but I just feel weird because it's not what I'm used to. I want to be a healthy size for my small bones and I think, being healthy should be the primary goal, looking good should come second.

for those that still want to drink even while on a diet, order vodka sodas/tonic water when at the bar! The lemon or lime that they give with the drink make it taste fine. Its better than all those sugary drinks.

Weight doesn't only depend on how u look, one of the reason why u may weight extra is because of urge bone weight, so u may look normal but we8get more than look, also when ur tall it doesn't really show alto, not that all tall people are thin.

Being 5'2, 9 stone doesn't look thin. To tone up, it's probably better to shed the excess weight first and then work on toning your muscles.

I am losing my fat right now as well. I was trying many things out and it really didn't work throughout the years. However actually its never been so simple. I lost 9 pounds and 4.6%of body fat in about one month. All I did was excluded carbohydrates, sugars and high in fat foods. Ate a lot of protein and fibre. Did regular muscle exercises. I don't believe 30minutes of cardio will do any fat burning lol. Started with 152lbs now I am at 143lbs.I want to be around 125 pounds.with 20-25% of fat.

Wow I had no idea you struggled with weight. Your story really hit home because my story is very similar. I think y biggest problem is my time of the month. It is the one day I CRAVE sweets (chocolate) and nothing will stop me or I get very angry. I don't know why I do this, I know it's strange. I do have hormone problems because of my bad health, but it's almost like a never ending spiral of death. You are so inspiring though.

I so get the thing when you can gain 4lbs a week, that happened to me! I have just lost 10lb the hard way, which was running, working out, and going on diets! The reason that it didn't work before was because of my thyroid issues, which is now all gone after my hard work! Now I lose weight way easier than any time of my life! So you can only lose weight if you want to!

just exercise half an hour each day and eat healthy. it doesnt have to always be treadmill excercise. you could do simple yoga as well.

9 stone definitely isn't overweight for your height! You look fab now and I don't see any weight on you to lose! You are slim and healthy! Every woman I know no matter how big or small thinks they need to lose weight :( Maybe focus on toning your muscles now instead? You may gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat but you won't look chubby! A friend who is 5'6 and so slim and toned told me she was 10 stone I was like "no way! You look 8 stone!" It was all muscle weight! Stay healthy! x

I really love snacks and i eat it every single day i know this is bad for my health Obviously when i saw the girls around in the university they are so slim and this making me having so low self-esteem When I saw you in meet up, WOW i see that you are so slim but in a healthy way!! For exercising, you can also do cardio and weights without goin to the gym, that's what I do. Buy videos, like insanity taebo, Zumba, etc. helped me shed pounds. A quick way to lose weight healthily, cardio and weights every other day. No I'm not an expert, it just helps the body lose weight and maintain it off. Also, don't do the same workout every day. Do different combos or else your body will get used to it because your body's a smarty pants so confuse your body. I hope this helps some xx

I am so thankful i do not like chocolate. so, i don't eat chocolate. I don't like chocolate cake, or chocolate ice cream either. That one, i could chop it off. If i wanted to, i have a lot of less sugar chocolates or dark chocolates at home (as my dad likes them but he has diabetes and he can't eat way too much sweets). The only thing i do as my 'diet' part is to eat in less portion and drink water a lot. :)

I'm pretty sure that being 9st at 5ft3 is actually an ideal weight. Anything under 8st is underweight... If not then I've got some serious dieting to do since I'm 8.5st and 5ft2 xD

13 pounds in 2 years is not a lot. I was able to lose 20 pounds in in 3-4 months by switching my diet to include more beans, chickpeas, steamed or grilled chicken.

Personally, and I know this opinion is shared with many, pale skin is quite beautiful! Not everyone is suited to having bronzed skin, nor should they be. Open your mind to see the beauty in diversity maybe!
