@@rollinupeverest5042 Lol carnivore is like putting timing belts and spark plugs into your gas tank. It's really good for cutting weight, but the fact that protein is a terrible fuel, fat to a lesser extent, but both still require a lot of energy to process and use are part of why they are so good for losing weight, you're burning more calories bringing energy to your cells.

i lost 37 pounds in a month once. got arrested for public intoxication and thrown in the drunk tank. next morning went before the judge (still drunk) and he sentenced me to picking up trash for the next five days days on the roadside. i said i wasn't slave labor for anyone but if he wanted to pay my welding rate i'd oblige . contempt. thirty days in county. refused to eat anything. i was around 300 pounds so missing a few meals was actually good for me. got out after thirty days 37 pounds lighter. nothing fit. damn belt needed extra holes punched in it. shoes didn't even fit right anymore. aside from smelling like a goat , having to walk home was the worst part. took all damned day. but kept it off. under 250 now.

@josephdover198
@josephdover198 24 күн бұрын
Most of it. This isn't something that Devon invented. It's the most common practice in combat sports. MMA fighters that compete in the 170 pound division walk around at 195-200+ pounds. 155ers walk 175-180 and they can hit that scale at 155 and then fight in the cage weighing 176 and in some cases even more. Current 205 champion Alex Pereira who was the 185 champion before would weigh in at 185 and fight at 219. Now he weighs in at 205 and fights at 232.

@@josephdover198 MMA fighters cut water a lot, Devon claims he doesn't
@josephdover198
@josephdover198 23 күн бұрын
@@Meators He never claimed that unless you don't understand water loading which is what he did and it's what fighters do as well. First you gotta reduce you carb intake just to lose weight but you don't have to reduce calories. Water loading actually causes you to flush essential salts and minerals from your body. Yes drinking too much water actually dehydrates you and he went over this. Fighters water load. It's just the last few pounds typically that they starve themselves and barely drink any liquids. That's when the sauna, the sweat suits while on a treadmill or stationary bike, the salts bath to draw even more weight off of you. He isn't even having to go near as far as most fighters do and people act as if Devon has created an entire new system to cutting weight. He hasn't and I'm a fan. He's going to weigh in at 231. He's going to step off the scale and immediately get IV's. He's going to carb load and he's going to be 255+ pounds when he walks to that table. Granted I haven't had to cut weight since 2007 and I didn't cut unhealthy amounts but I've done it for amateur MMA competition twice the day before. For BJJ I never really cut weight because weigh ins were the day of the competition so no more than 2 or 3 pounds which is like taking a dump and sitting in a sauna for half an hour.

@@VoidedTea Why? He's not stepping into a steel cage to fight another half naked man for five 5 minute rounds. Also I have no idea how going carnivore to help him make the weight cut is going to make his strength incredible like the original poster stated. This is the most basic concept of cutting weight and fighters have been doing it for decades. No fighter actually fights at the weight of the "weight class" that they compete in.

Walking is key. I can't get that through people's heads. You don't need HIIT, you don't need to do cardio, you don't need to lift weights eight times a day - though all those things are highly beneficial, of course - . You just need to walk. The old saw is true, walking burns more calories that just about anything else a human can do. Our bodies are built to walk *fifteen* miles a day *in addition* to all the labor we're designed to do throughout that day. Nobody in the developed world does that and hasn't for a century now. If we did, we could eat 1,000 grams of sugar a day and never gain an ounce.

Im curious did you stop eating at any particular time of day? did you eat more "on time" than you might have before?

Can you phesify what is "a lot of walking"? Like in hours or distance. Would be interesting to know.

Intimate knowledge of subject matter gives Devon an advantage for sure.We are all on the edge of the seat however to see the results in the actual match.The incredible weight cut was one part only.If you pull it off, you will make your haters eat crow yet once again.
