My biggest piece of advice is to eat a lot of food high in fiber. You don’t necessarily need fiber supplements. The more fiber you eat, the more full you feel with less calories. I got to the point where I was eating 1200 calories a day and I very rarely felt hungry.

Weights loss is a struggle and I’ve experienced the same thing you did. I seen a pic of myself and was upset. Started my weight loss journey at 40 years old, lost 51 lbs in 3 months, gained 25 back during Covid and got back in the gym 2 months ago. I’ve also been drinking green smoothies for 6 years now, that also helped with weight loss. Keep up the good work💪🏾

@@SummerHawaii582 I was just determined, at one point in my early and mid-30s I was on 13 medications. My body felt like I was 80 years old sick and in and out of the hospital. Then my first grand daughter was born and I wanted to be their physically and to show her something different. So I just started walking, doing my research on green smoothies and didn’t stop and it was hard too. Now I’m about to turn 45 in a couple of weeks and I’m in the best shape and a lot healthier too as far as my diet. I documented my journey on my KZbin channel and now hear we are 4 years later💪🏾

its the weirdest thing but now i rarely get hungry, i been trying to eat more now for various reasons, and I find it so difficult. The thing that helped me the most was intermittent fasting. I knowww its like everywhere these days, but its true, and only because i did it for so long that i actually saw a difference, before the hardest thing dieting was the hunger thing, but if you stay long periods without eating you start feeling real hunger at the correct times. it helped me so much.

This definitely will make you feel better. Also measure your arms, waist, thighs, etc. and take pictures. Also remember, muscles weigh more than fat, but can also help your metabolism. I was never on Depo shot just pills but birth control is no joke. Mine actually almost killed me. Gave me four blood clots, two where my brain and a horrible stroke that paralyzed me and was supposed to kill me but the doctors worked really hard and fast and saved me. They had to remove part of my skull and I have pretty bad brain damage. I was in a wheelchair for months and when I finally got out of it it was so painful to walk with my cane I just didn’t, sat around all the time. Got up to 170, & I’m really short. After working really hard and therapy and making my recovery I can walk now and I’m trying to work out again. Thank you for inspiring me 💕 And if anybody’s reading this and is on birth control you’re really better to get off. There are other methods besides condoms that are hormone free and they have no side effects. Please just get off

You need to drink a minimum of 3 liters of water when cutting weight. Up to 4 liters (4 liters is about 1 gallon) it takes a little time to get use to drinking that much water. I Cary around a large size plastic Starbucks cup that has a straw and drink that and refill it 4-6 times a day. 4 times is 3 liters 6 times is 1 gallon. My cup is 24 oz (cup size is printed on the bottom of the cup) I include all liquid i drink including coffee. Once I started drinking this much water the weight started coming off. I also cut out sugar unless coming from fruit. Cut your calories by 500 per day. If you cut your calories more than that you end up loosing muscle and then you become “skinny fat” lift weight like she said every other day starting with 10-15 min of cardio. Then end with up to 30 min cardio. Do only Cardio the opposite days. Yes, in the beginning you may feel like you are not loosing weight because your fat is covering your muscle BUT if you lift as well as cardio you build muscle at the same time and end up burning MORE calories than if you only do cardio. Initially as your loos fat the fat cells retain water. (That’s why you feel like you are not loosing weight) THEN SUDDENLY your body stops retaining the water in your fat cells and you can see and feel the difference. No more fat layer over your skin and no more lumpy bumpy cellulite showing. Im 50 and just started loosing weight this way. It has made a world of difference! Oh and the other thing I do is make sure to get 10,000 steps in a day. It took me about 4 weeks to get to the point of getting the 10,000 steps a day because I was so over weight. But now it’s easy. Good luck!

Being on birth control is not the reason for weight gain. I used to think that way too which discouraged me from starting my healthy and fit journey. It is true that birth control messes with your hormones so that can result in you craving sweets but at the end of the day YOU'RE in control. I've been on them (the pill) since a teenager and now that im 30 I decided to finally get serious about my health and so far I've lost 20 pounds in 2 months by exercising (hiit cardio and strength and training 5x a week) and sticking to a 1000 calories a day of Nutritious foods (protein, fiber, veggies and fruits). I also count my calories along with measuring my food! It is very important! That's all you have to do..

Your story sounds just like mine! I’m 5’8 and was extremely active in high school. I personally feel and look my best around 145-150! I was 150 when I graduated high school but slowly gained weight throughout college. I graduated college at 165. Then I got Nexplanon and Immediately gained 20 pounds in less than 3 months. I’ve mentioned this to my OB/gyn several times and he always says “oh it’s not birth control causing you to gain weight, it’s your eating habits” and literally blaming me. Please explain to me how I gained 15 pounds over the course of 5 years but gained 20 pounds in the 3 months immediately following getting this in me? Since I’ve had it inserted, I cannot lose more than 10 pounds no matter what I do! I’m finding another gyn asap and getting this thing removed and hopefully kick start my weight loss. Trying to be around 155 by July!

It is almost always very very high sugar 12 tablespoons for bottle of soda and caffeine that first causes the difficulty in stopping soda.. there are no addictive qualities in the bubbles and the seltzer. Not that it's a bad idea to replace it with seltzer water or flavored seltzer water it is good idea. But some people end up replacing it with diet soda for the bubbles which is okay in the beginning but all those artificial sweeteners are terrible for you if you're drinking them in big mouse like you may have been with the soda.. but like I said it's not a bad start but eventually regular water is really the best maybe put it in the blender with some strawberries or whatever that is what I do. I've never been a huge soda drinker but I have not had a soda in over five years and I am not a fan of the seltzer Bubbles at all

I was in a place where I counted my daily calorie intake and ate only low-calorie foods. After a while with exercise 5 times a week I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. However eating only "healthy foods" without any intake of processed foods I developed an eating disorder called orthorexia. It is actually a disorder when he refuses to eat anything that is not healthy and even a small bite would create panic and a feeling of failure. By balance I mean living a normal and healthy life with an intake of more nutritional foods but sometimes it is ok to drink a soda , eating a piace of cake.. Even when ur trying to loše weight because that is the most sustainable way.
@EmbodyYourDivinity
@EmbodyYourDivinity 3 жыл бұрын
@@selmasalihbegovic2784 I used to have orthorexia as well. I don't think people realize that disordered eating can happen at the other end of the spectrum too. My binge eating disorder included sugary and carb-laden foods as well as healthy, steamed veggies and roasted chicken. It was never about the actual food. It was about what was driving me to want to binge or restrict in the first place. Now that I've gotten free from my eating disorder and food addiction I have a healthy relationship with food. I don't eat sugar because it doesn't feel good in my body, and when I do, it actually hurts my stomach. But I have also witnessed people who had full on sugar addictions get free from the addiction and compulsion and be able to enjoy a piece of chocolate or bowl of ice cream without it sending them back into a binge. To each their own but I just wanted to say that I agree with you that there are no "bad foods." there are just foods that either work or don't work in each person's body.

I finally found a doctor that was willing to test me and confirmed I had PCOS and was told that the only thing I could do was be on the pill consistently for the rest of my life. At that point I was just so happy to have an explanation for my problems, I didn't think much of other treatment options, but I have been thinking about getting a second opinion lately!

@@kristinamarie660, thanks for replying! Happy for you that you have a diagnosis. Gives you somewhat of a starting point to figuring things out. I as well was diagnosed with PCOS but no longer have it. Hormonal issues are very common among both men and women and can be easily corrected through diet and lifestyle. For women, we can also learn to eat with our cycles. They told you you would have to take that pill for life because now you will be a customer for life. Long-term use will lead to damage which will then be resolved with more pills. Which means more money in certain people's pockets. I wish you the best on this journey!!!! :)

My Dr recommended Benefiber when He discovered I had a perforated colon. Number 1 reason for diverticulitis/diverticulosis is lack of fiber, followed by processed meats (take out) fried foods , lack of exercise and being over weight.. just fyi!

Depo is the devil's birth control, I only took it for 6 months and gained a LOT of weight, also, ever since I took depo (which was in my 30's already) screwed me up completely that I never DID get my menstrual cycle back again. you are right, it either works for you, or it doesn't!

From someone who power lifts and now is working on losing weight to be healthier, lift weights its a great way to get your heart rate up, however make it about strength training, not noticeable muscle gain. Start slow and you'll see results after a few weeks. One day you'll only be lifting 10lb dumbells and suddenly 3 weeks later you're doing 20lbs. Just keep at it.

To understand weight loss, you need to understand your hormones. Intermittent fasting and doing HIIT 2 or 3 times a week is going to fast track your weight loss. Going keto helps a lot but isnt essential. Mostly switching to IF will be so incredible for fat burning and for your metabolism but to fast track your weight loss from there, do 5 min HIIT videos 1x 2 to 3 times a week. It will help your hormones and increase your metabolism to burn more calories when you're resting. Also staying below a certain caloric number is essential too. That number depends on your goal but I eat anywhere between 1100 and 1400 calories max per day. I eat once a day and within a single house and I fast the rest of the time. Do not deprive yourself of foods that you crave or it could lead to binging. I also cut out all soda and drink only water. Those are all incredible things you can do to jumpstart weightloss but not just weightloss, fatloss.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like the Depo and the toxic relationship were a match made in Hell. I have said it numerous times when commenting on videos, and that is that often times people think they need to add something to their lives to make it better, but often times there is something that needs to be removed (a relationship is often the item) to make life better. Good job.

Lol when you love sex too much but don't want to get pregnant. It's a real struggle. They need to come out with better birth control for women because this happens to 90% off women who get on it. They gain weight super fast.

Ahh yes because it’s so easy for researchers to just pull “better” medicine out of their ass. Do you realize the extensive process required to develop a new medication? Do you really think they don’t assess side effects as part of clinical trials? Why don’t you get a PhD in medicinal chemistry and try it yourself? That’s like saying they need to come out with chemo that doesn’t destroy the body, it’s not as simple as it sounds as great as it would be.
@kayleelaprade

@@Sam-gi9ls why would they make better birth control when they can also sell you medications to fix your hormone imbalances and mineral imbalances when you get off?? Your comment didn’t have to be so hateful, friend. We also know how to get rid of cancer without Chemo. You can just mark up treatment at least 100x.

Hi Kristina , Thank you for this video ! I'm trying to find the motivation to lose 40 lbs and it's very hard but I need to lose the weight for so many reasons. Did you drink anything with artificial sweeteners or add any flavor to your water? I hate drinking water. 😕 Best Wishes on your health journey !💜
@kristinamarie660
@kristinamarie660 2 жыл бұрын
Every once in a while I have sweetened/flavored water. It's important not to completely cut foods/drinks that you crave because if you do, you'll end up binging them and it'll do more harm than if you were to just enjoy them on occasion. It's also important to drink regular water though because drinking too much of the sparkling/flavored water actually dehydrates you so. If there's a form of water (iced/hot/room temp) that you can tolerate, drink as much as you can, but there is definitely nothing wrong with enjoying a flavored/sweetened water on occasion.
