I feel like a common thing for people to feel is this fear of getting back to something you once were much better at and observing the decline. This video is really helping people with the mindset that it's ok to take a break and get back to something, be worse at in in the beginning but improving from that and not be afraid of it. Life is full of ups and downs and that's just the way it is. You showing us your courage to get back out there with a positive midset is something beautiful! Thank you Natacha

Your comeback has been the truest testament of the science you advocated about the body and time off from exercise (cue the pull ups). And ahem if he's comfortable, we'd love a "Mario on his own" or a "What I eat in a day" video through his perspective. Love you both!

Natacha, you helped me so much. I'm struggling with food for over 13 years and I'll probably never recover fully. But I'm following my cues now, I listen to my body and I'm trying to eat more intuitively, I'm soaking every information you provide and I'm feeling better. Also due to covid I'm not that active anymore, I was competetive grappler and I had a pause for so long, that I can't seem to go back again and start from the scratch. It frustrates me so much. Hi Natacha, thank you for sharing this video. I am almost 3 months of not being able to walk due to a broken ankle from skateboarding. As an avid runner, (light) weightlifter and skater, it has been discouraging to see the changes in my body - I actually lost weight overall because I was so scared of eating too much and gaining fat - but as a result, lost all of that strong leg muscle. I am at the beginning phase of putting weight back on the ankle that was broken, and seeing what you went through and how you very smartly came back gives me a lot of hope for my journey! Having spent a majority of my life constrained and even bedbound I was terrified of falling back to that. Two weeks ago I got really sick and couldn't workout, I was so surprised how accepting I was of the situation and just did a few small walks for fresh air and did show up for work since we're understaffed and it wasn't contagious. I'm almost recovered and last night I dreamt of the gym so the desire is coming back. Also going to make sure I'm properly recovered. There's been times I'd just pushed through and made things worse. Odd type of progress but it's there. Hope you'll recover well and can get back to it as soon as possible!

I started working out again at the beginning of September after nearly two years of being almost completely sedentary thanks to both the pandemic and an extended depressive episode. I am also working on getting back to my old self, losing fat and building muscle back! It was very humbling and kind of demotivating at first, as mentally I wanted to jump into my old training style but my body just couldn't do it. I'm already seeing and feeling changes and am treating myself to a few sessions with a PT coming up. Thanks for such a relatable video, it made me feel loads better :)

If you are thinking of doing some more workout videos in the near future, i would LOOVE one that's a bit more beginner-friendly for people (me) starting to workout again! Or any workout video is very much appreciated ofc! I'm just a little terrifed of your very explosive moves hahahah anyway love your videos and so glad you're finally better and working out again the way you want to 💖

I’ve just been through 1 year of 2 stage ACL revision. I’m 4 months post 2nd surgery & had put on weight too. I haven’t been this heavy since I was pregnant. So honestly, seeing that you had put on weight too makes me feel so much better about myself cause Ive been crying about how I can’t bloody do anything when I so badly want to. Like this body I’m in right now. It’s not me. But it is me. Sigh Thank you for being so real ❤️

I would absolutely buy a mini ebook with all of this information! Workouts and the different type of workout it is ie explosive, strength, isolation hypertrophy etc. I am currently pregnant and so looking forward to the journey of building myself back up to where I was! xx

I can't believe the timeline you just posted and everything you said literally happened to me all the muscle loss EVERYTHING you said. Except that mine wasn't an injury but more of an unexpected health issue. I'm so glad you're starting to feel better it gives me hope that I'll get better and begin to exercise again, it's been devastating sis but life happens we'll get our strength back. sending you love xx

hey Natacha! would you mind sharing a bit about the rehab & spinal strengthening exercises you did to be able to get to this starting point? I feel like your reset (baseline at the start of the video) is already much higher than most folks who lead sedentary lifestyles and I think it would be good prep for someone looking to get stronger! thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Watching this while doing my PT exercises! Broke some small bones in my back early September and finally cleared for light exercises. It feels so good/weird to move again. 🙂🙃

The ordering in, THANK YOU for speaking about this! I always looked at these "what I eat in a day" videos and felt so lazy and incompetent because I just didn't and couldn't put in the same amount of time and effort. Your advice really humanizes this and helps to break it up into achievable goals.

I started exercising at 15 and by 18 had reached what I deemed my peak. Because I was aesthetically motivated, I lost all drive to keep training and stopped for 2.5 years. Your channel helped me overcome my fear of returning and sucking at something I used to be really good at. Now I have a completely different mindset, I train because my body can do amazing things if I teach it and that is the best confidence builder I’ve ever experienced. And now I teach that to other women through strength and health coaching. I am not me without your impact Natacha. You were a big part in my course correction and I am so thankful for you. I’m also really glad that you’re feeling better, you truly are the best 💛
