Hi! Today I am sharing with you how I have lost 115 pounds in a pretty short amount of time. I started my journey in the spring of 2020. I am by no means a professional or a doctor so please just know that I am just sharing what has worked for me.

Wow! What great advice on how to lose weight while adapting a healthy lifestyle! No expensive gym membership, no costly diet scheme, no ridiculously priced packaged food you must buy for name brand diets.... simply eat pure and natural, eat less and move more. But that also depends on how big you are from the start. If your bmi is btwn 25 to 30 you are less likely to hv loose skin than someone who is an obese class 3 ​@@jasonlangworth2542

Love how you mention having to be ready to accomplish the goals of losing weight. This has been my biggest downfall is beginning prematurely and then feeling discouraged. I’m ready now and this is all great advice and tips. Thank you! 💪🏽 👏 ❤

Portion size was my biggest problem. I've always been active, but my consumption of food matched my fervor for working out.

This is really helpful/practical/realistic advice about health, weight loss mindfulness, insight and maturity. Kudos to you for putting this out there!! It's all about being aware of what you're doing, taking responsibility and knowing that you can change. It's not all that difficult but you have to be ready to pay attention to what you're doing and then, without judgement, change your habits sensibly over time.

Honestly I think you looked great beforehand and great now as well. You shouldn't feel ashamed or guilty for gaining the weight initially. You had so much stress and things happening in your life as a mom. I find myself getting so caught up with work sometimes that being healthy doesn't feel like an option and it can be exhausting. I can't even imagine how much a mom would have to go through and how much more hard work it involves. You never did anything wrong and everyone goes on a different path in life. I'm happy that you are where you want to be with your weight and you now and have gotten into healthier habits. Don't ever put yourself down about your weight or body image. We always judge ourselves too hard. You are a great person and you deserve to be happy.

Psych meds put 150+ on me so yes it can for some.

Congratulations!! I also have hypothyroidism that I use as an excuse.. I’m curious how often your thyroid meds changed during your journey.. You look great!!

Thank you so much! So my meds always change when I am pregnant and so I went from taking 250 mcg of Synthroid while I was pregnant and now I am on 175 mcg. I see an endocrinologist and she said they will continue to change until I am done losing weight or at least not so drastically losing it. They have changed about 4 times since March of 2020.

I thought diet is zero calories? I drink coke zero on my weightloss journey. Since its zero calories it doesn't affect my weight loss :)

Chemicals affect your gut microbiome...i.e. inflammation and artificial sweetners are the Devil and screw up insulin levels...

Do you think Diet Coke increases your cravings? I do but still struggle to kick the habit! Also how do you change your over desire for food? I’m at your start and feel so lost as I know what to do but just can’t seem to do it. 😫

For sure. Processed food increases cravings...excess snacking, Eat wholesome foods feel FULL and satisfied, lose weight!! PFF = Protein, fat and fiber! I follow Autumn Bates on youtube. She has a masters in nutrition and specializes in Keto. For decades lost no weight (except for a brief period in time in college back in my 20s lost 40 lbs on Atkins who was onto something btw!) Now doing a Mediterranean Keto with IF and have lost 50 pounds without trying. I stopped snacking because I was full from my healthy meals containing PFF! Manage insulin and walking and things change quick, although Im not rushing because I dont want excess skin if possible my goal is 100 more pounds over the next year.

Another thing I noticed I lost the most weight when I ate eggs and avocado...I make veggie egg muffins (meal prep) with spinach, mushrooms and sometimes ham, bacon crumbles. Im moving towards incorporating fermented foods like Kimchee and making organic tofu and broccoli. Eat organic as much as possible and stay away from seed oils which are banned in Europe. Im on low carb but not always super low carb. I stopped eating all bread and pasta. Other good advice I was recently reading is to stay away from cheat days and instead maybe once a week have a modest single cheat meal....

Breastfeeding burns LOTS of calories. That would account for the rapid weight loss in that time, on top of the normal efforts. If u just had a baby I suspect that was your real secret! 🐣😉

I always heard that but that was never my experience. I had six babies and breastfeeding always just made me SO hungry. I never lost weight from breastfeeding. It was all mindset change and determination here. Although, I wish that was the case. It would have made it alot easier 😂

@@mymomlife If you breast fed regularly it would have made a big difference. Some say it can burn up to 600cals per hour on average. That's exactly why it would also make you hungry as you say, because it was burning lots of calories. That's exactly what it would do. Its much easier to have a mindset change when you are also conveniently doing things (unknowingly) that help things along!
