As a longtime ssf player, expedition is the only thing i never spec out of. Specially this league with scarabs you can get 20+ coins in single map, just speedrun low tiers maps. Just feels good to never run out of currency. You need the chaos to roll your t17, and expedition is fast with big boom node.

I already know you crafted the weapon but there is a easier method I found while trying to minimize cost, 1 Row ( Bot left ) 2x Crit ,2x Speed, 1x Life Scarcer, 1x Chaos Scarcer, 1x Attribute Scarcer... 14x Tier rating ( anywhere aslong its connected ), 6x Quality ( 30% quality for Harvest craft later ), 1 Explicit Mod rerolls for Max rolls and finally 1x Mana scarcer, 1x Life scarcer. ( item level Corpses as much as you like to push ilvl 84 if u want )

bro dd legit doesnt do dmg if u dont use spectre corpses lmao if u are lazy get the wraithlord helmet a lv20 spectre gem and voideye for 7 spectres and call it a day u dont need much more even just having 4 feels good enough.

You only have to do it once and it's been explained pretty clearly by other (selfcast) DD enjoyers aswell, so go and do your homework.

Setting up the spectres is a bigger DPS increase than anything you can get anywhere else. All you do is socket the Raise Spectre Gem, summon a Kitava Herald spectre from a5/a10, and then take out the spectre gem and throw it away. Now when you cast desecrate it should randomly put Kitava heralds in with the rest of the corpses. They have a massive health pool so it gives huge increase to damage when your desecrate spawns them. If you want even MORE damage, you can go above and beyond. You can get a bunch of gear to add number of max raised spectres and basically collect all the highest hp mobs in the game. Doing this improves the odds of your desecrate summoning high HP corpses for you to explode, vs the normal enemies of the zone you're in. Ventrua has a full video explaining the entire process and even walking through how he used trade chat to get the full roster of spectres. But in short, yes, it's way worth it. Just do the Kitava Herald if you're lazy (or SSF) but as I said the damage increase from detonating one of these giga HP corpses is greater than you can get from anything else.

So this league I'm actually doing something real similar, HC with t17 maps and the new league are rippy and not really fun, so im playing SSF and just building for HC even tho im not HC SSF. Also the league is wild, a es + evasion trickster body item I bought in trade for like 4 div I was able to make while still in yellow maps. Also just in SSF being able to get items like all ele res + t1 life is really useful early on.
