I think voice over the video is enough... Thanks !

Thanks for the feedback. Probably easier to follow than subs also.

Dear Hans, Did you account for the thickness of your wire? with 6kW you will have 26A going trough your wire, with 3kW about 13A. Wires for home use are often made to go up till 16A

Yes I have an update coming for this video. I have 2x1.5mm2 on the 6kW phase

Funny, I just had to make a cable for a 12Kw SR/S this week and did the same thing as you, but then I figured that the neutral also need to handle 6kw max, and although I used 2,5 mm2 that still would not be enough for 6Kw. So I ordered 8 x 1,5mm2 and doubled up the neutral also. I could be wrong but you might want to check the capacity of the neutral line. Thanks for your video, I was checking to confirm that the L3 connection was used or the 6kw charger, and one of the commenters more of less confirmed it. If people are interested in custom made charging cables for the Zero motorcycles, electricmotorbikes.nl makes them. They are very flexible, repairable and upgradable. Just call them or sen a email via the website for the options.

Very interesting, thanks! As a SR/F premium rider with a charge tank my self I'm very much interested in the solution. However, as a nurse I'm just not handyman enough to do electricla stuff myself ... . The footage you are showing at the charging station however must be without the charging tank, as you have the storage left in the SR/F and as the charging power is 5.7 kW. Would you like to comment on that?

Indeed that was recorded last summer before I installed the charge tank. I had that tank installed early januari this year but had some trouble with the execution so it's currently back at the shop to fix those issues. Meanwhile I'm riding a blue SRF limited to 3kW... That is quite a step backwards. Are you in Europe? If not your charging options are different and mostly single phase. For Europe this cable works fine but to get the max charge rate you need enough power per phase so a 22kW charge minimum. For some reason I see still a lot 11kW chargers nearby. If you need specific help just ask the community will be glad to help out. These connectors have screw terminals and the resistors were already soldered so with limited skills it's doable. Just double check what cable goes were.

2 MTR, what cable is it called? This would be very useful, even for Energica as there are free handy 3kw chargers around.

It's a 7x1.5mm2 extra flexible stranded wire. If you only need a single phase you can reduce the amount of wires. 1CP, 1GND, 1N + 1 phase so 4 wires will do.

Thanks for that. Did you change the L1 and L3 around so the first charger to be used on the bike is the 6kw charger? In the UK we have a supermarket free 6kw station but it only gives the power on L1 which on the zero is only the 3kw charger. Would it work if I swapped L1 to L3 which is the onboard 6kw charger?

Ow nice thinking. No I haven't tried specific order of phases. Most common here are 11kW chargers giving only 9kW charges and 22kW having enough power per phase to allow for full speed charging. Both options have equal power per phase. I don't have any setups like that around to test. But once you've got those screw in connectors you can easily experiment. It might work.
