Interessant inkijkje in het onderhuidse van de SR/F en SR/S!

Thanks have been looking all over for this, just as I want to get to the 12v accessory connector. Will have to take off the top like you have done to do it. For sure...

Glad it's useful. I removed mine after selling it separately.

There is a 12v accessory connector thats easy to access on the LH wiring running from the back of the tank down the frame, its a rubber 2 way male/female 3.2mm socket. I make up a heated seat with $10 PWM from Ebay plus a heated seat panel from a car, it only draws 2A max and on bikes without ICE heat its great.

The OBD 2 socket in the store area gets damaged when it gets pressed, the clip gets broken, I just broke mine. Thanks for doing this video its real interesting to see some inner workings. Im on my 3rd Zero, DSR, SRF 14.3 now SRF 15.6+. I fit a heated seat that I make up myself ($10 PWM off ebay and car seat heat pannel, btw only draws 2A max and most of the time less than 0.5A culmative) I miss the heat of the ICE when Im in 3 degree days here in UK autum /winter.

Should be designed a bit stronger then. Nice zero history you've got there! Happy with the SRF upgrade? Probably waiting for the cypher store to be released to get all the features on that new one. Good idea on that heated seat. Do you have that documented somewhere?

@@Hans2183 Yes the 15.6+ has about 11% more range over the exact same roads without the + upgrade. I have everything set 100% and traction on sport (if you want performance open the throttle if you want economy don't !) I got 80 miles out the 14.3 now I get 90 miles out the 15.6 , this is some pretty hard use on UK A roads plus 70 mph duel carriage way. I could easily get another 10% out of both bikes but this is going as fast as gas bikes with better overtaking acceleration so overall yes pleased with upgrade and ill buy the extra when the cypher store release available as the Zero does all i need for 90% of my use and I charge via solar.

@@Hans2183 will post on the forum with pictures, just testing an alternative PWM module. Basicly pull the staples out the front of the seat take a bread knife and cut into the foam take a seat heater panel from any car fit in side and run wire out the base. Reseal the seat and fit a 2 pin plug to the wire. Drill the dash on the left and fit the PWM rotary switch/potentiometer drill the right side of the dash and fit an LED. Connect the PWM and LED to the seat and the rubber 2 pin 12v accessory power plug on the left side of the SRF near the battery. The seat only works with the SRF on, the LED glows more/less with the temperature of the seat. The whole set up never draws more than 2A so fit an inline 3A fuse.

Hi Hans. Good video. How is that you are removing the rapid charger?
@Hans21833 жыл бұрын
I ordered it moments before getting the Energica. I never really use it now because of the added range and DC charging on that one. Plus if I keep the Zero I want to try some things with it that don't require 12kW anyway and benefit more from having it a slight as possible. My home charger stops at 7kW anyway.
@corentinoger Жыл бұрын
From the information I could find, the stock 6.6kW charging is achieved by two 3.3kW chargers each on one phase of the type 2 connector (L1 and L2), while the Charge Tank is connected to L3. This means that even with the chargeTank on, you're still limited to 3.3kW charging on a single-phase 7kW station (230V, 32A). Do you know if it's really the case? (I haven't got the bike yet). If so, one possible upgrade would be to swap L1 and L3 in the bike connector so the CT is used by default. Not sure the bike accepts to charge with CT only, though (stock chargers would not get AC). I have a 7kW WallBox for my car, and I'm really upset that I won't be able to use it fully with the bike.
@Hans2183 Жыл бұрын
On mine with the charge tank I could charge at 6 kW on a single phase 7 kW charger. Only when charging at a 3 phase it was sometimes limited to 10 ish instead of 12 kW (3+3+6) when it was an 11 kW charger. So for the 12 kW speed you need a 22 kW 3 phase charger. Forgot what the internal configuration looked like.

@@Hans2183 Good to know, maybe they improved the mounting procedure. There's a 2 year old video on the official Zero channel with 2 Zero employees charging a SR/F and a SR/S at various stations in the UK, both bikes equipped with ChargeTanks. You can see the display showing 2.8kW on a 7kW station, he even says it : kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpLNc6mbgqiCodEm09s.

Hi! I plan to buy a 2021 Zero S 14.4 battery version. Is there a way to add type 2 fast charging for it? As I sse there is a Charge tank modification option for 6kW charging, that wuuld be also good, just have to make sure it can be added and accepts Type 2 public stations. I already have for my current ebike a Type 2 -> Schucko adapter so I can use my slow 500W home charger with that and it works up to 16Amps at current resistor config so until 11kW, but with a resustor change can full type 2 AC be used like 22.5kw....
@Hans2183 Жыл бұрын
I'm not that familiar with that gen zero bikes but yes with the charge tank you'll get type 2. Adding it with custom charge setup has been made difficult to achieve by zero. But I've seen some that still managed.

Pity the charge tank cannot be fitted on a regular SR/F without additional hardware
@Hans21833 жыл бұрын
Indeed the other models don't come with a type2 charge port by default so would need at least a charge harness also. Likely other battery terminals and different brackets also.

too bad the chargetank doesn’t fit on an DS ;)
@corentinoger Жыл бұрын
There is a charge tank for the DS (or at least there was when I got mine), but it comes with a type 1 (US) connector on the bike, so you have to use their T1/T2 cable
