Hey Heather! I am someone who found out about you from the Christmas Sweater Design Challenge on Kittl. I had been making designs on there for awhile and figured i'd try my hand at the challenge. I then checked out your channel and got interested in POD on Etsy from your videos. I ended up winning 2nd place with the challenge and i've emailed you briefly about some success I had on Etsy but I wanted to give an update here so you and your followers can see. I made 12 sales last week! Starting from last Sunday, I had at least 1 sale per day! Before that, it took me almost a month to make 4 sales. It was challenging to keep up with the volume, but people are finally receiving their orders, leaving 5 star reviews and I can't say enough how thankful I am to have found your channel! To anyone who watches these videos and wonders if Heather's advice is legit; it is.

Happy late birthday..

Thank you so much for sharing your story, for being honest and for not giving up. So many people view setbacks or slow times in business as failure, and it's not always the case. Sometimes there are just slow seasons, depending on your product, it could be due to a design flaw, the business just isn't right for you, or that it's just taking time to grow and be discovered...or a million other reasons. I have a home business making bath and beauty products. I started it about 3 years ago and am now finally getting more traffic and people asking when we are going to be up and running again (had to temporarily shut down due to a move out of state). I am currently working to start up a couple of Etsy shops and hopefully bring in a bit of passive income because my husband is disabled, and while he can still work at the moment, that may not always be the case, so having a business where I have to spend a lot of time making products may not be the best option for us in the future. Thanks so much for sharing that just because you have a setback does not mean you are a failure or that your business won't be successful in the future. Very encouraging words and story, for sure. Wishing you continued success in your business.
@itsheatherstudio3 жыл бұрын
I LOVE this Deb!! I am happy you are deciding to look into POD or passive income strategies as there are SO MANY available now and other ways to create your own income. I would say that producing products on your own is difficult to scale. I personally considered this as I LOVE the process of printing and creating my own items, but this hobby/passion soon becomes into stress/work and to scale you have to hire employees/have overhead. That's why I decided to go into POD as this is a business model I highly recommend so others can start and scale without the high stress levels that overhead + hiring other people can cause. I hope you are successful with your endeavors and are able to get that extra passive income for you and your husband!!

@@itsheatherstudio, thank you so much. We had started designing some POD items before my husband found a job. But, we had to move to a new state within a month, and, as you can imagine, it was stressful. We also took a rental home as we had to sell our previous home, so we pretty much lived out of boxes for a year while we sold our old house and found a new one close to where he’ll be working. Now that we are getting settled, we’d really like to get back into exploring our options. Thanks again so much for your wonderful video. I can’t wait to watch more of your channel.❤️
