Almost a month though.. and I still have not received lesson requests. My trial lessons are $1.50 and 1hour lessons 4.50/$5. What am I not doing right 😭?

It is hard for me to talk about the demand for Afrikaans. I am not sure how high it is. Add teaching English and see how it goes. The issue could be that Afrikaans is not on high demand internationally.

Yes! It's actually best to do it while in university, you can even finish tefl in two weeks and start applying. After you bag the degree you can upgrade to professional teacher.

Hi. I am currently doing my TEFL course with the tefl academy, I need advice on hiring agencies and will i find a agency that will provide me what to teach for each lesson rather than I have to create a lesson plans? Is the salary tax free?

Hi! I did not use an agent because it will cost money or they may want a portion of what you make per lesson. Your Tefl course will teach you how to make plans easily and you can always invest in resources to work with; we will have those coming up soon so keep on the look out!

I got a response in days before the pandemic so wait about a week or 2. And yes you can reapply

I believe that they tell you a reason for the rejection ? The definitely encourage people to reapply. If you didn't, apply to be a community tutor and then you can be a professional teacher later.
