Thanks to this video I just worked on my first SAK. I had a manager knife with a broken tool spring and I had a few other 58mm knives with the same problem. I opened them all up and used the parts to fix the manager. On my first attempt some tools didn’t have a good snap, I think I was too rough and bent some of the plates. I was able to take it apart and fix it though.

Have you ever thought of making a video of how you got on this journey on customizing swiss army knives? The obstacles along the way. Things of that nature. I'd be really interested in hearing how long you've been at this and what got you interested. How you learned which tools could work and how to modify them. Not to put anyone else down but you're arguably the best in this field. You clearly have a passion for this and you're attention to detail and willingness to keep pushing the boundaries makes your knives stand out. I hope to one day own one of yours myself but watching you makes me want to try and start to modify and customize one myself (something simple Lol)

The thing is (according to Jon Gadget youtube channel) that the Victorinox precision blade was originally a scalpel, Mini champ orange peeler was a pill box opener and the Cuticle pusher actually was pill separator and medical formula shovel. They all derived from the medical Victorinox that was discontinued long time ago.

Awesome work as always Cody. Perhaps invest in a pillar drill? Might make it easier drilling pivots out and new holes rather than a cordless handheld.

Why in some tools you add washers and in others you don't? What is the criteria there? I thought all joints had them. Thanks! Amazing built!!!
@FittoSurvive

The springs are 1mm wide. So, if the tool is 1.7 mm wide, then I have to use two springs and 0.3 mm worth of washers to make up for the empty space.

Just started looking into a Mini Champ and came across one of your creations. I hope i will get to purchase one of the at one point. I particularly love the Spydernox Minichamp. I imagine a white theme... something to match a pair of AirPods. Hope you keep at it as this is awesome work you are doing. Making some people really really happy.

That's a really fun knife. I made one very similar but I can't peen, so it has tiny screws and hex nuts! I need a peening service! (Limited fine motor skills from disability, so practicing isn't the issue. It makes grinding scarey-fun, too!)

*FitToSurvivinox Mini Super Champ* 😁 Maybe next one you can replace some of the screwdrivers with a Victorinox bit driver. 😉 If possible, I'd love to have a hacksaw bit on there to cut metal, and a tiny carbon steel file. Also, those tiny keychain flashlights? One of those. 🤣 Great job, as always! I would love to see you make your own custom multitool company and pump these out to the masses for sale! 🙂 I understand you would have to mod some things so it could not be mixed up with Victorinox but that's not too hard, imo.

Hey, @FittoSurvive Can you do a detailed video of how to drill out and replace the brass rivets on SAKs with rods and a ball-peen hammer? I love what you do and would love to do similar franken-knives but the solid rivet/pin hurdle makes me a-skeered to jump.
