Well that was interesting. I never knew how much work goes into creating a blog or KZbin channel. I’m sure many people have thought about doing the same thing including me. Now, I know I could never have the patience, endurance and consistency. I must say there are lots of KZbinrs whose content is less than desirable. You are exceptionally talented and your content is very good!🌺🌺🌺

Thank you so much, Denise! I'm so happy you find my content valuable. It definitely is a ton of work, but I always have to remind myself that it's worth it! ❤️

Thank you for sharing this content. A few years ago my daughter and I became enamoured with 18 inch dolls and started our KZbin channel, sharing the how to make and how to create projects. I was a journalist, portrait photographer and writer so it came easy. But I didn't choose to write a blog or proceed with Instagram. It was fun. Looking back now, I can see how I could have monetized the process. What you touch on is that you must be willing to put in the quality work and content, AND reach out to sell your content to advertisers. That takes work! I am a recent viewer to your YT but am not a big blog reader. Your video has me thinking again on going back to work, perhaps as a creator again, this time with a business mindset. Thanks.

I read comments on blogs and videos and I think some people are surprised of online work, cos they think it doesn't involve a real effort as such. Which isn't true. To make it into a real work you still have to work. And you do, with care, and it shows ☺

I get annoyed at myself that I’m not getting work done, then I remember why I’m doing this so I can stay home for them. Thank you for sharing. I’ll check out skill share for sure. There’s lots of content out there on what to do, it’s nice to hear from you what works.

You did a really good job, finding something, that isn't tied to an age too. You can do this for a long time, unlike someone who reviews toys or videogames. Also your education in design really shines through in your work. It's professional, well put together and has coherent themes.

I can definitely be shy but I also have talent. I would rather diy than pay someone for something I know I can do myself. I've done beautiful tile work and mosaics, lots of crafting, some oil painting, sewing, beadwork. I've done plumbing, electrical etc. Ive just purchased items to make a privacy screen for my bedroom that I converted from the other living room at my parents house which I can't wait to begin. I have all these ideas but I'm unsure and yes a little insecure about beginning something like blogging and doing utube videos because of failure. I def need more info on how to begin just for starters to see if I'm cut out for something like this. After listening to your last video I'm thinking skill share sounds like a place to begin. Would u recommend me to begin there and are there other pointers for starting from the ground up? Things that are most important in the beginning. My computer skills are definitely lacking and was also wondering what kind of equipment I would need to have to start something like this? I mostly use my phone for watching videos and my laptop is pretty out of date. Any suggestions in the right direction would be greatly appreciated...thank you Christina!

I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my videos and film them myself. What you need starting out really depends on your budget and the look and feel you want your channel to have. I have quite a few posts on my blog about how I started, how I film and edit videos, and what I've learned through this incredible journey. You can find those posts here: thediymommy.com/category/diy-fashion-mom-life/business-blogging - I wish you all the best in your blogging endeavours 💚

Purple Angel Wings The online world is constantly changing, so I think you always have to be growing, learning and willing to try all sort of revenue options (i.e. sponsored blog, Instagram, videos, even selling merchandise can work). I do think it's always wise to have a home base that you own though like a blog/website and email list.
