As someone who edits a lot of photos in PS, I highly recommend unchecking the "Delete Cropped Pixels" option at the top. This will let you go back and edit your edges (or crop to a different size) if you've made an adjustment you're not happy with without having to hit undo a million times. This was very informative, thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing this... You have no idea how much I appreciate this... Many many years ago... I painted watercolor.. I sold only originals... we really didn't do prints unless you were a professional and it cost a lot... finally in the late 80s I could pay for prints... It cost $6.00 for a print of an 8" x" 10" and I was so happy to pay that!!! LOL.. I got a printer... I paid $259. a month to RENT it!!! LOL Printing has come a long way!! ... (Boy do I feel old)... (Smile)....

Hey I have some tips that will help you with your work flow. * Get a colour balancing tool. It really helps match the screen to what you are printing if you are adjusting. * To get true colour the same as the scan, familiarise yourself with the colour curve tool in photoshop. It has a white, black and grey pickers. It allows you to pick what you feel is the complete white (in this case the paper) and complete black and even grey and it automatically adjusts the image to fit that colour. * Calibrate your printer and scanner. It would be easier with a tool but can also be done by hand. That way they are one and the same. You can save the calibration specific to each paper.

This was exactly then video I needed right now! I have a watercolor piece that I have really wanted to make prints of, and now I also have someone wanting to buy the original. It’s a good friend so they’re giving me as much time as I need to figure out the printmaking proceeds, but I’ve been very stuck! This was extremely helpful, thank you ♡

Ive been searching for ages trying to find how to print more then one image on one page in both photo shop and my canon printer and this is the best I've seen so far but the template info was to brief for me to understand.

I got my scanner/printer because I believe Audra Auclair uses the same and her prints come out super good. I'm also very iffy about the way I want my prints to look so I'm scared about having them printed elsewhere. But I might start doing that as printing myself is such a disaster unfortunately. A lot of ink and good paper has been wasted :( Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it!

maybe you mentioned this and I didn't understand, but why don't you resize the image rather than cropping? since the file is already such a large DPI scan you wouldn't be losing any information by sizing down (if I understand correctly)

I just bought the same printer and am having trouble getting the colors right. It looked great in Photoshop, but when I printed my piece, the colors were all very dull and faded, even though it’s supposed to be very bright. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? This is so frustrating and is holding me back from sending out my prints! :(
@arleebean
@arleebean 4 жыл бұрын
What kind of paper are you using? Each one will cause the colors to look at least a little different! Are you using the ink that came with the printer? Cheaper alternatives for this type of printer won't naturally produce the same colors. Also, I would recommend calibrating your monitor, if you haven't already. :]

Your printer already gives you a white border which you don't need to cut away before sending it to the customer who decides to buy the print and make their life easier if they want to frame the work. But of course, you are not going to do that. I get it. 😜
