Your workflow is spot on. Always start with what you are most comfortable with. Cutting out the pencil would hinder the free flow of your design phase. I would never cut out a sketch phase on paper. It's not the fastest but I never skip a beat in making stuff work. Pencil is so forgiving bet retains memory of where it all came from. That helps a lot.

Thank you for sharing this. As many of the comments said, I feel like a lot of artists hide their resources from others, I’m not sure why. However, thank you for this. I’ll look into printivity! Something I recommend too is CatPrint. They have special art print pricing with different papers and even holo foiling for about the same price. I also think art prints look classier with a margin on them, full bleeds are pretty, but I think they look better framed with a margin. That way you don’t have to get a crazy expensive frame with mat either. I’m planning to open my own art shop and that was something I was thinking about.

Hey man! Loving your videos. I found you by searching for drawing and procreate and your video about your Tshirt business came up. I have also been drawing all my life but only as a hobby. I’m a musician by trade. But a few months ago I decided I wanted to try animating my own music video. I had no idea what I was getting into, but about 2 months of full time work later having used procreate on my wife’s iPad, it turned out pretty cool. I’d never animated or even drawn digitally before but I totally agree when you talk about Apple getting this just right and how Procreate is super user friendly for noobs. Anyway, if you’re curious, the finished animation is on my channel now. Took hundreds of hours and lots of questioning why I committed to that haha. I had an animator give me a quote for doing something similar for me for a future video but they said it would cost at least $15K. So I guess I’ll be animating my own videos for a while! Hah. Anywho, thanks for all the great videos!! Love your work!

You know!? Could you do a video on how you adjust colors for print. I use to get prints made at like Office Max. I would have a lime green that came out olive. Or a rust brown that would come out poo brown. So maybe you could touch on how you plan on color differences between screen and printer.

I just came across your channel and insta-subscribed. I'm a photographer myself and I print at home up to A2 size. I think you really could benefit from a color managed workflow. I don't know if you calibrate your monitor, but that would be the first step. Also soft proofing is something I'd suggest you look into, because the conversion from RGB to CMYK can be easily done without it affecting the colors. Maybe SkillShare will have your back on this one ;)
