I really love your swirls! Very fun and pretty. Thanks for all that you share. I learn a lot from your videos- not technique only, but also how to relax and have fun with it. A couple days after my scale went out I put my stick blender past it's limit with a batch of liquid soap. So! I am really enjoying my slim stick blender in a nice sunny yellow. It's so much easier to handle than my previous one. 🌄👍🏻😄

Wow! Those turned out perfect! Love the top design too. It really does look like choppy waves. Blue Mist is a phenomenal scent. I ordered it when they had a sale on all FO's quite a while back and I had it for a long time before I made soap with it. Not sure why either. It smells good out of the bottle but man, in soap, it smalls amazing!! Behaved so well and I didn't get any discoloration which is always odd to me when you have an FO that is so yellow. This scent is, imo, perfectly suited for anyone. Men and women both love it.

I love this soap, the blues are so pretty together! I love swirl soaps the best, you get a different design in every bar. I wish I can get fresh goat milk, but I live in Michigan and they only allow a grade A farm or something like that to sell it, so, i have to get it in the carton or use powdered, but, its all good stuff anyways. 😊💕

You are one of the few soap makers whose videos I watch all of the way through, even though I've been making and selling soap for 20 years. You have such a pleasant friendly manner that I find your videos calming and relaxing. 😊 And I've actually been wondering about what ratio to use when mixing TD and water for a squeeze bottle. I've always just mixed enough for the batch I'm working on. I really like the idea of premixing it.

Ellen, I love your videos, and thank you so much for all the great information. I have a ? About the colloidal oats. I followed the link to Amazon and it was for Organic oat flour. I have some colloidal oats and it feels like a powder and the oat flour seems more coarse. Is the Anthony’s flour what you use? I am not sure if I can put “ colloidal oats”in my ingredient list. There is some confusing info out there!
@EllenRuthSoap3 жыл бұрын
I'm actually going to be talking about this subject in an upcoming video. Colloidal oats are the "whole" oat including the bran, and it's a super fine grind. The Anthony's Oat flour is also a "whole" oat product and is finely ground and it's much less expensive than "colloidal oats".... I've been using it and find it to be very nice to work with, even though it's not quite as fine a powder as colloidal, it works pretty much the same.
@kitzander80863 жыл бұрын
@@EllenRuthSoap That is what I have determined as well. I am making a body wash bar including it and was concerned about the ingredient label. Was your TD diluted before you added it to your lye water mixture? I have used TD a lot but I never seem to get a bright white color to my soaps. I just ordered some white mica powders from Nurture Soap that may help but I'd love to figure out how to come up with a bright white in my soaps. It always turns out cream colored. But I'm using water dispersed so wondering if that's why?
