When my daughter came for one of her visits last year, she was in a fragile state. We climbed into bed together the next evening and I told her I had just the thing to ease her mind. I showed her one of your longer videos, shot mostly outdoors. She smiled, and the muscles in her face relaxed, and we watched a few more of your videos. Then I showed her your art on Etsy. The pain began to lift that evening, and when her boyfriend came down from Vermont to take her back home and to work at the end of the week, her resilience had returned. There is no criticism of your video art that could cancel its restorative power.

Dear Paola, loved this video. Our family crest has “ To thy known self be true” written on it in Latin and that is how I have lived my whole life. My darling late father always used to say “everyone has an opinion, just tell them to take a number and join the que” and he was absolutely correct. There will always be nay-sayers and people who are critical of us….just stand in your truth always for the beautiful person you are! If only this world was full of Paola’s, it would be a much nicer, kinder place to live xx ❤️💐🌺

Your father was a very wise man. 😊 I've also heard a rather...ahem...salty version: "Opinions are like a$$h*les -- everyone's got one." That likely got said by my own truck-driver grandpa on Mom's side. 😅 He was definitely not afraid to set boundaries and keep them. His choice of words was not always the prettiest, but people who wanted to mess with him got the message. 😅 But however it's said, the intention that we have behind our words, for good or ill, needs to be ours to take responsibility for. And how others respond is their responsibility.

I can relate to wild tiger lilies, Paola. They flourish with a few close friends, but are stunted when overcrowded. What a great analogy. You also touched on a great point re: dreams. Many people get frustrated when life does not follow a certain timeline or path. Having faith, though hard, is necessary, especially when intuition says, "Breathe. Wait. Let grace forge your soul." I started my creative journey in photography and writing in 2017, at the age of 37. I have recently added videography to the mix. A slow start, yes, but I feel I am being guided. I also enjoy being around other creative people. There is a part of us which is of spiritual nobility . . . That is the point from which our creative impulse originates. . .the part of us which is is part of our divine creator. It's why I enjoy watching your channel.

I'll never understand why people feel the need to write such mean things. You are such an inspiration. I love your videos. They have inspired me and are one of the things that helped me through my depression. Thank you for being you!
