Great to see even the young people jumping onto the linux and hyprtrain. This was so well explained and it felt so simple yet complex, either you put a lot of work into this or you have a talent for this kind of stuff. Either way, great vid, keep going.

I used to customise everything like you are doing but while doing my projects if something broke like the lsp or anything else then I wasn’t able concentrate on my project so I settled with Zed. Today, I stumbled on your video and boy I wanna set up my terminal and Neovim again. You know what I am gonna subscribe you. Keep up the excellent work. Live the dream 😇😇

@@DoubleDotStudio zed is good and very stable. Much much better than VS code and you can customise is not exactly like neovim but close. Currently, I am having a dilemma selecting between kitty and WezTerm can you help?
@DoubleDotStudio
@DoubleDotStudio 14 күн бұрын
I personally really like kitty. I had to build western from source due to a wayland issue that can only be fixed through building it locally and it landed up lagging my laptop. I’m not sure if that’s just an issue with the built version though. I do personally like kitty with tmux more than wezterm’s multiplexer but since it’s just the terminal you could try both and uninstall the one that you didn’t prefer. Configuration is pretty simple for both anyway.
@apoorvsingh9316
@apoorvsingh9316 14 күн бұрын
@@DoubleDotStudio I chose wezterm, it’s just that I wanted to customise my neo vim again and both can be done in lua. Plus I am a big fan of rust, so once I knew that it was written in rust I was sure. Anyways, will let you know how it goes
@DoubleDotStudio
@DoubleDotStudio 13 күн бұрын
I’m glad you managed to choose ok. I might have to try wezterm again and give it a second chance.

Thx for answering my request and going through your setup, that's exactly all the stuff I wanted and then some more I guess the next step for me from here is to distribute my own custom wsl linux image to use wherever and whenever I'm forced to use a windows machine in a work environment :) You're awesome kid, ngl In a unrelated note: I also thought you were using starship since it's default is so similar to your p10k setup. If you hadn't seen or used starship maybe check that out and see if you like it
