I didn't even think to check Temu for the little trinkets! I got a TON of little odds and ends from a lady on Etsy a few years ago and never used them for anything... but I'm going to set up a diy I Spy jar table at my husband's company picnic this summer. (Yes, I'm planning/assembling this in January, haha!) Wish I could do bags like these, but I won't be able to set up a sewing machine at the picnic. 🤷♀️ Thanks for sharing!

I love that! That is a great idea to use jars for the picnic to make I Spy Jars!. And don't you just love it when things you bought a long time ago finally come in handy? Lol. Love that feeling. Would love to see how they turn out! Good luck with it!

@@diybusybooks Thank you! I just went through some other craft supplies and found lots of other little options (Scrabble tiles, buttons, glow in the dark stars, etc) to include. The kids will have no idea they're helping me declutter! 😂

Love the idea but I made something like these years ago and used rice instead of the poly pellets. Mine have lasted for years.

Yes Rice would totally work too!! I don't know if Rice would be any cheaper than the polly pellets with the price of food so high nowadays, but rice would definately work just as great I would think. Thanks for the idea!

It would be more sustainable.@@diybusybooks

@@LoudMinded That is a really good point! Unfortunately in Canada it is against the health and Safety protocols to use rice in a childrens toy if you are going to be selling them. However if I was just making this as a gift or for my own kids, I would absolutely consider switching it for rice. I think both work really well.

@@diybusybooks I was thinking about making it for personal use. It's a good thing to have as many rules as possible for children's toys of course.

I’m making some for my kids for Christmas. How thick is the felt you are using? Do I need to use the 3mm felt for the bag or is that just for the binding piece?
@diybusybooksАй бұрын
@@stanhawkes3569 thats awesome, it's going to be so cute! I now use 1.2mm felt for the bag but I used to use 1mm. I prefer the slightly thicker felt. Also, the 3mm felt I use just for the binding piece.

Hi, have you ever used polystyrene balls? Do you think they would work instead of the poly pellets? Love your Pages by the way ❤

I have seen those before but I was worried they will stick to the felt and it will make it harder to manipulate/shake the filling. However I could be totally wrong and they could work amazing. If I ever try them out for this page I will let you know how they do... thanks so much for watching! ❤️
