"When I plan, it goes horribly wrong, when I wing it, it goes horribly right" Words to live by. The reason for this is because planning for something creates expectations, and we as humans aren't perfect. Even if your expectations for yourself sound reasonable, as a human it's unlikely to perfectly meet them, that's just nature. When you wing it, you go in expecting nothing. If you don't expect yourself to do well at all, there's no way for your results to do worse than you expected because you didn't expect anything

Yeah, this is important for certain scenarios. In others, we need to have a fair idea on how things are gonna play out then do our best to meet expectations. For example, when I start training for a marathon, I can't just wing it. I have to meet certain goals by certain times to be in the shape I need to be for the big run.

It may be true that we are all equally cursed and blessed; and you are truly blessed with the honesty, integrity and courage to be yourself and share that with the world. As entertaining (actually mesmerising) as it is to watch you twitching, it feels kind of wrong to be voyeuristically partaking of your gift (curse/blessing) and it’s your candid interviews that really connect with what myself and so many people are experiencing in a non-sensical world. Thank you for sharing with the people who love what you do and actually caring for the unfortunate individuals who are unable to express themselves in a non-toxic way. Namaste.

Hey, I can only imagine, what that situation would do to tourettes syndrome. But think of it this way: How many people with tourettes have dared laurating an award ceremony before? All the more, when there are hundreds of thousands of people watching? I think what you did there is a huge confidence boost to everyone with tics. You did very much succeed in showing that people with tourettes can very well be in the spotlight. And you did it very nicely. Congratulations!

I can’t begin to imagine what you have gone through in your life up to this point. I’d just like to say i think you are a rockstar and despite what you said in the video, i reckon your performance was top notch. Quite seriously, i loved every minute of it and thought you nailed it. Had you not explained how terrible you felt, my lasting impression would have been that you aced it. I think that you are right, stop trying to be something you are not. Roll with what you have and try not to worry about the consequences. I think the prior warnings for people who don’t know you are a great idea and a real ice-breaker. From an outsider’s perspective i’d say you should be hugely proud of who you are and what you do. Bravo!
