Great Video, your story is the same as mine, started after my 1st wife passed away. We met on the Internet, the only difference, is that I came to Thailand to meet my wife in 2007, and stayed! We have been back to the U.S. often and we have travel to many other countries as well. Thailand is a country where a Farang needs to be flexible, flexible, flexible! Blessings to both of you.

I have a Thai wife that I met online. I am also from Houston and still live here. Mine is not a mail order bride neither. I met her on a dating site exactly like I would meet someone on a site here. I can relate to a lot of things you are saying. We also get looks when we are in Thailand as she is 7 years younger than me and looks 20 or 30 years younger. I will be there during the holidays for a 5th time and leaving in 4 weeks. I am planning on retiring in 3 years and moving there.....Good luck!

Andrew Jones how long have you been together? I'm looking into Thai women too, I just came back from Thailand. But I also hear bad stuff about them, that they are solely for the buck, they only need you as an ATM to support their families in Isaan, and the like. That kinda upsets me. I dislike women of my nationality for being extremely feminist and posh. Moreover, girls of about 22-25 back in my country consider me as an old fart, and I'm just turning 32. What do you think?

I'm half white/half black and he's white and also 16 yrs older then me you can believe that we get looks all the time....we all just have to learn to ignore people and be happy in life! @@leehollebon3228 Thought I'd chime in here if you don't mind. I've been thinking about my options on moving to Thailand as well. If you're over 50 you can get retirement visa that will last a year. There's the elite visa that'll get you a 5 year stay but its very expensive (like $25,000) I hear. Other than that you can get a few other visas that would allow you to stay in Thailand. If you want to work there as a teacher (teaching English) there's a visa for that or you can get a student visa to learn Thai. I believe all visas will still require you to check in every 3 months regardless, but I hear the check in is no problem. Hope this helps.

You two are absolutely awesome! I'm married to a Chinese woman nine years younger with the same supportive attitude as Paige. We're in the process of selling our home and "stuff" in Ohio and full-timing. My handicaps are 1) I want to pay cash for our RV and cannot do so until I sell the house and 2) We're heading back to Guangzhou, China (southern China, weather same as Texas) for Sept and Oct. So leaving Ohio late fall, early winter if all goes well and heading for Texas. My brother lives in Friendswood, SE of Houston. Plan on wintering around the Corpus Christi area. After that, sky's the limit. Safe travels Chuck and love the vids.

Just a suggestion on the night you want to cook something from Merica. Make them some chicken fried steak with cream gravy. I think you must be from the Texas area, the southern part. I have been in Houston/Huntsville for 45 yrs. and now North of Austin. You could try some TX. BBQ too. Good luck and enjoy your videos.

I HATE that term - mail " " - it is disgustingly offensive to foreign women, and then it is not possible to order anyone by mail for any price - unless illegal. Yes, You are over thinking it there in Thailand about the other people what they think, in US yep they stare, men envy you / middle aged women hate you w/o even knowing ya. been there, and screw what others think ! It takes about 6 months to petition K1 visa to USA, you MUST go there and meet and have a real relationship - they will inspect your emails and ask for proof... So hell no - there is no mail order brides, and let that term die now ! I tell you about every thing I start wondering about your lifestyle or just how you met - cool you put it out there -you must be reading my mind ! Hey, I got a question. Since you're from Houston, which do you prefer? Obviously the Thai since you married one of them instead of a Latina. No offense to Thais, I prefer the Asian culture, the food, the history, and the personality. They're very polite and truly treat everyone how they want to be treated. So the question is this: The docile Asian or the subtle Latina? You married an Asian so what are the differences?

One thing I noticed in this video and a few others (one where you're sitting outside your parents, one where you're driving your truck) .. there is often too much ambient noise and it's sometimes distracting and makes it difficult to hear what you're saying. At least if you have control of the music overlay maybe keep it very low while you're talking ... just a thought.
