Wish I had a nice cool loft like when I was a kid to rebuild my railway in..... but now I live in southern USA and all I have a is a baking hot attic ! About 120 F for most of the year. Keep up the good work, nice layout.

Please, please, please, and a fourth please, ---go on doing these rare and wonderful videos. They surely must be a inspiration to all present and future model railway enthusiasts. I would of liked to meet your Mother and father. G.C. --who remembers the good old days of steam.

A slight draught blowing through an attic is good, as many UK attics get cold and damp during the winter months. Good progress on your layout.

Jenny, your loft layout is comming along beautifully. I like the concept. Just not the forever tail chasing them. But do crack on I say you're doing a excellent job. Slow down a bit, enjoy the build and construction You don't have to go at break neck speed. There's really no big hurry.

It's looking good. I hope you get it done to your liking. Don't over do it. You could hurt yourself (I suffer from a bad injury, so I have to take it really easy. If not I end up in bed with time off work. I hope to start my layout this year. All depends on my back.

Just great work on the layout .Hope that you can wire the turntable for electricity but it os tricky especially the indexing. The layout is a monster in the positive sense. I will still lobby for leds in those beautiful buildings. It will really addd beautiful character at night particularly with the light and shadow play. The crane area will be to die for as is that classification yard. Keep it going and good luck.

jennifer why not put a isolation switching where you park up your trains instead of taking them of the track break into the dropper wires and fit a switch to break the current that way it should stop current drain just switch on to move a train until you put on a extra transformer to power the track just an cheap idea . from john from rugby.

I have invented my own rating scale for how much swearing it takes to complete a tedious project so Jenny on a scale of 1 - assembling a furniture flat pack with chinese instructions, missing parts and mis placed drill holes how much swearing did it take to do that turn table? I really want to do one on my future layout when I have space for one.

Superb job! To have it “engineered” would have been on the expensive side! Now..............on to the Crossing gates..........!

Well done indeed Jenny. Its a real shame that Meccano ended up into French hands as its not the same anymore as it was once it move over to France. As it was always useful to use in other areas or projects i,e just like your turntable brill,to say the least. As a suggest Lego make's a small motor that maybe ideal on the gearing alone, just a thought !!!! I know the feeling of cash strapped. The log cabin with all the hidden extras do mount up.Cazz

As a DCC user for 20+ years you need a beefier system than Gaugemaster for your layout. e.g. Lenz, NCE, Digitrax, Ecos, Zimo. Geoff. W.

It's not motorised... It's mechanically propelled. Great work tho. Loving the hard work and dedication you have put into this project.

Ms.Kirk, If I may call you Jenny? In your small in fill area at the end of the ShaperSheets here is what I did. First off our railway club has funds available, but I'm a cheapskate. So I took kitchen aluminum foil. Shaped it to my desired area and form. GENTLY moving the form to a work area. (BE VERY CAREFUL HERE) I then made up some paper mache' & DELICATELY smeared the paper on to the foil. To insure I did not deform the foil two club Gandy-Dancers and I moved the homemade ShaperSheet out of doors to dry, cure, and harden in the sun. You may have to poke a few tiny holes in the foil to aide in drainage. It depends on how stiff you make your paper mache' Love your episodes. Especially your sojourn to Parliament. From the U.S....SEE YA' DOWN THE LINE, Jim
