My daughter is young (30) and is finally living in her own house - a 1960's model that needs tons of work. I told her about your video from last year of your new kitchen - this morning our entire family sat and watched last year's video where you and your husband installed the Ikea cabinets!! Hello, Mrs. Robin! It is truly a blessing to watch your videos. You exude so much warmth, joy, and peace, which in turn allows your viewers, such as myself, to join in that demeanor. While watching this video, I did notice the organization system you have in place for your fruits and veggies near your microwave. If I may suggest it, by hanging baskets on either wall in that space, your countertop will remain free of boxes and things. I suggest this because, usually, while watching your videos, it seems that you prefer your countertops to be clutter-free and organized. Oh! Robin, I’m in awe of your organizational skills! Your kitchen looks so nice and so functional! I got many ideas while watching your videos to help me better organize my own kitchen! I too debate over keeping or decluttering my food processor. I rarely use it, but when I need it for specific recipes, I’m glad it’s there! What I would love to get is an instant pot, but for now, I don’t have the space. Watching your video got me motivated to go through my kitchen and rethink what I have, and see if I could declutter some items in order to have more space for that! Mandolines scare me to death but I might take the leap along with those gloves! I just finished a little declutter/reorganization of our "cooking cabinet" (spices, vinegars, oils) earlier today! I also have a lot of spices and have been working to pare them down. I've started making my own blends from the basic spices and that has helped. I noticed sesame oil and Worcestershire sauce in your cabinet. I recently moved those to the refrigerator along with sesame seeds. I was reading about nuts and seeds recently and how quickly they can go rancid, especially when it's HOT and boy has it been HOT this year! Thank you so much for sharing with us Robin. Great storage. I had similar storage at our last house. Our pantry, pots, pans, and measuring cups were in the cabinets next to the stove. Rarely used items were in the dark corner cabinet. Our cooking utensils were on the counter opposite of the stove. Our flatware, measuring spoons, oven mitts, wrapping supplies, etc were in the drawers on that side. Our dinnerware was in the cabinets next to the dining room. Still waiting to hear back from the jobs I applied to. I really hope I get the library job as the tasks and hours suit me. Then I can continue saving for another place. I noticed some of my computer bookmarks were no longer active so have been checking all of them. Yesterday, found out the store I was planning to get most of our furniture from is closing down. Fortunately found most of the same items at other stores and they are priced lower as well.

where did you get the silverware drawer organizer? Beautiful kitchen. I love everything. Is the sink hard to keep clean? How is the quality of it? I'm deciding on what brand of farmhouse sink to get. Right now I'm leaning toward Kohler but have seen some reviews of it chipping

In my current cabinets I have pull out shelves behind the doors. It makes it so easy to access the items. In our new home I will only have the bottom shelves pull out and the one above it is only 1/2 a shelf. This set up was builder selected and obviously chosen by someone who doesn't worry about storage space. I will definitely have to use my imagination to figure out how it will work.

I have the same size bottom freezer!! I am the only person in the house and I run out of room! When I don’t make ice I use the ice drawer. I have a corner cabinet that pulls out! I wish it was like yours! I have a small kitchen!

I loved the tour of your kitchen. It's beautiful. You have so much space. We live in a 1949 house and ours is very small but still like it. We have a cabinet like you have on the bottom that has lost space in the back. Can you buy that rack by itself or do you have to buy the whole cabinet?

Hi Dianna! Ours came as an option for the Ikea-made corner cabinet and I really don’t know if it can be installed in an existing cabinet, but that really should be available from Ikea if not. 😄🌻💛

Looks lovely and functional. Here's this week's PSA: the stretch-tite (yellow box) plastic wrap far exceeds Reynolds Wrap and it's at Costco. I know thou shall not covet your neighbor's kitchen, but those corner cupboards are sinfully beautiful. Is that your first crocheted dishcloth? 😘

@@FaithandFlour I find they work at picking up crumbs and drips, and easier to leave a surface streak-free better than microfiber and the Swedish dishcloths (which I bought a 10 pack during amazon prime day to give them a shot.)

Aha -- I spied a lid from H-E-B, so you must be somewhere in Texas...in the Dallas area we don't have H-E-B [yet] but remember the chain from S. Texas and south if Dallas. I have needed to replace my kitchen that was destroyed by massive flood [by a home heathcare worker--nobody paid a penny, the company vetted by Texas just folded their tent and slithered away in the night] in 2013 but I have not found a contractor that will show up or even return a call. My house and kitchen are very small. I tried Ikea two years ago, but that turned out to be a nightmare in non-communication at least in English. Would you recommend them anyway? Or an alternative? Love how your kitchen turned out.

Yes! We are just north of Austin. 👍 I'm so sorry about your experience with the healthcare company and Ikea. We experienced problems with the supply chain - but that was outside of Ikea's control. Otherwise it was a good experience and we are very happy with the quality and design. 😊🌻💛
