How I Organize My Yarn Stash

What a wonderful video!! I have been wanting to prioritize & reorganize my yarn more thoroughly. It’s wonderful to hear your suggestions & ideas. I organize mainly by fiber, then by weight. I have a modular plastic shelving unit made of 12 inch square cubbies. They work with those fabric bins perfectly. In one bin are those pesky, floppy, donut skeins that fall apart just by looking at them. They’re with any small cotton skeins. Another bin for crochet thread. For the shelf cubbies I sort by fiber. I try to keep one cubby for charity yarns. My favorite thing is seeing cake yarns facing out. Love any of those striped, ombré or gradient cakes. I have a few cherished cottons. Cakes are just a beautiful way to wind yarn and to display it. Your yarns look beautiful. Love the colors & how they’re all caked & ready for use. Love seeing the many glorious projects, shawls, blankets & other textiles behind you. Very nice color & texture aesthetic. Hope you have a great day.
