How I Outsmarted Mario Maker's Best Player

After months of no bingo content, @PangaTAS and I are back with something never seen before: Chaos Bingo. In this version of Bingo, we introduce "items" which we can use against each other while the game is going on. I might not be the best at Mario, but maybe my strategy can outperform his skill.

For some reason I interpreted the items very differently. I thought based on the intro that you’d be placing items without telling the opponent, and whenever that bingo tile was completed, the item would automatically activate something bad for whoever did the tile, like they sprung a “trap”. Which got me thinking: Bingo Minesweeper. Imagine if a completely random half the tiles did something dangerous, and you had no way to know ahead of time which ones would hurt you.

I do love Bingo, but just an idea to shake things up. Instead of Bingo have 25 challenges with 5 easy for 1 point each, 5 medium easy for 2 points each, and so on. Then the winner is first to score like 15 or 20 points. You could have the gamble of go for 3 very hard challenges to win or knock out soo many easy ones. Brings an element of strategy and risk :)

This may be the first video I have an issue with the high production. I have issue with "reaction content" because reacting to a KZbin video in it's entirety leaves no reason for me to go seek out the original. Which is both bad for encouraging original content for the platform and is arguably against fair use. The amount of Panga footage in this video, while personally I think it helps paint the raysfire vs Panga story. Leaves me little reason to view the Panga POV with his minimalistic editing. The only ways I see around this would be to wait until his POV vids are out first, which would then lead people to less likely watch the raysfire video. Or to have less Panga POV in this video, which would lead to worse story telling. It's a hard line to walk across. But the idea of taking away views from creators bothers me. And this video I feel can arguably cross that line

That's a valid concern! In this particular instance, this was an idea that I had created myself and then went to Panga with, and he agreed to let me release my video of this with both of our POVs before he released the videos of each individual match on his own channel, so everything was already figured out in advance. Generally speaking our audiences are fairly different, and our approaches to the same content are also different, so by both releasing a video on the same content like this, we're able to hit two different demographics anyways. With that in mind, if he ever has an idea he'd like me to be a part of and he approached me with it, I'd happy return the favor and let him make whatever video he wants to on it, and would be happy to give him exclusivity to use it on his channel alone if he wanted. We've done that many times already, and I've also done similarly with other creators (such as RedFalcon), and will likely continue to do that in the future. I just know his workflow and content style, and I'd hate for him to stream something and not be able to make content out of it on his own in his own way + have no issues with him using this for his own channel, so everything's fine! 👍

Obviously you know your own KZbin analytics far better than I ever could. While I did make a light comment to the editing style being completely different, I didn't take much thought into how much crossover the demographics actually have. For all I know Panga may not be top 3 of the "Your viewers also watch" list. My issue only lied in what was left on the table to give reason to watch Pangas video. But as you said it was your idea, and it sounds like it was pretty well discussed who's videos released first. It's also easy to get caught up in the trap of being a keyboard warrior, which is why I don't like to give criticism without offering alternatives. Just glad to hear it was a thought out/discussed decision instead of it being the case similar to reaction content of using others content to boost your own place in the algorithm
