Really like your style and the fact that you use default brushes. Wish you'd do more vids like this. Would love to see more of the process.

This was a great video! To bad your head got in the way I would of loved hearing more of your process but this was great over all ☺️

Haha... yeah. I'm hoping to level up my filming abilities soon. Thanks for watching anyway! I'm planning on uploading more starting June 1st, hopefully with less of my head in the way.

Thanks for sharing your process!! I really appreciate seeing how you painted the portrait using all of Procreates native brushes. As a completely newbie Procreate artist and someone who'd like to try painting portraits at some point, I'd love to know how you pick colors for shadows and highlights if it's a simple enough answer or if you decide to make a future video. :) Also love everything you paint on IG!

This is so beautiful. Could you please make more vídeos like that? I would like to know how you moved the eyes position minute 3:56 to 3:59.
@DrawnbyYannan5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! I will definitely make more videos. Planning a comeback on June 1st! To move the eyes, just use the "S" looking tool (at the top left, to the left of the mouse) and if you've been drawing on one layer, then it should be easy to select the eyes and move them.

Why did you choose to put your first colour layer beneath the rough sketch layer?
@DrawnbyYannan4 жыл бұрын
Good question! I like playing with the layer settings on the sketch later to see what interesting color combos come up with the flat colors below. I suppose it could work just as well if the layer was above but it's just what I've gotten used to doing!

@@DrawnbyYannan Thanks for replying, I tried changing blending modes of layers above and below the subject layer, and found that depending upon the effect you want, that it can be a big or subtle change depending upon the state of the layer. Interesting stuff I am learning at the start of my journey. Good health.

What modifications did you do to the Nikko Brush???

I know this reply is super late - but I don't think I made any modifications.

Hello! I enjoyed your video 💕 I have a question though, do artists usually paint in one layer only? Thank you ☺️ - digital art enthusiast
@DrawnbyYannan4 жыл бұрын
I think if you want a painterly style that looks almost like traditional painting, you'll do a lot of your painting on one layer because that's more similar to a "real life" effect, if that makes sense.

How do you blend the colors so nicely ? When I try to it always looks super sloppy :(
@DrawnbyYannan5 жыл бұрын
What brush or tool have you been using to blend?
@mauveki5 жыл бұрын
Drawn by Yannan I try to use the same “brush pen” I use for coloring and everything but it’s so hard for me to blend it nicely
@DrawnbyYannan5 жыл бұрын
@@mauveki My quick tip is to make sure your are using highly saturated colors and make sure the brush is at a low opacity to create the gradients. Hope that helps! I'll try to make more videos about this topic.
