Hi All! I just passed my exam last month and wanted to come back to say that this scoring system worked!! Using the scoring system she discussed, I got a 30 on my first practice exam, a 31 on my second practice exam and a 37 on my third practice exam. On the actual RD exam I scored a 31 so the practice exams were an accurate depiction of how I would preform on the actual exam! Hope this helps anyone taking the exam!

Thank you so much for this point system! I am scoring a 65-70% on all my practice tests and had no clue how I was ranking. After using your point system, it seems i'm making about a 32. Does that sound about right to you and your experience?
@ireanybeany Жыл бұрын
That sounds like you're in the right ballpark! I remember scoring 60-80% on my practice exams. And by the time I finished all of the practice exams and pretest questions, I was highly proficient/low in advanced in all of the areas (you can find this on the dashboard under strengths/weaknesses). Good luck on your exam! I'd love to know if you pass and if the scoring system works for others besides me!!!

hello! I saw your video and purchased the ERP. How did u reset your tests in eat right prep?
@Yuqiliveinthemoment5 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm using eatright prep to study my DTR exam, maybe it's different than DR. I couldn't find the difficulty levels that you're talking about for each questions. I believe they have the same scoring system. Could you share where are they located in general? Thank you so much!

Thank you for this amazing content. I am planning to take the RD exam in 2 months and want to know how long it takes you for scheduling the exam? Which website should I use for scheduling the exam?
@ireanybeany Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Glad this is helpful for you! I talk a bit about scheduling the exam in my How to Become a Registered Dietitian video here (kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6XIY4SjrcqbgtU). You can fast forward to the exam section. But briefly, I didn't have trouble with finding time slots to take the exam at all- I think there were availabilities for the same week when I was doing it, but this may vary depending on your location. I assume you are is the US and maybe have not finished your internship yet but you will receive more info on scheduling the exam through CDR once you graduate from the program!

@@ireanybeany Yes, I am in the state. Thank you for this useful info and it is great to know it won't take too long for that!

I am deciding between a nutritionist and a dietician prep. My main goal is to understand food timing, later on help with PCOS, diabetes, thyroid. Please can you suggest me what I should look into?
@ireanybeany Жыл бұрын
Hi! In the US, nutritionist is an unregulated term. Lots of people call themselves nutritionists without any sort of credentialing. To be a dietitian, you must take and pass coursework outlined by ASCEND, complete an internship and pass the RD exam. To practice medical nutrition therapy, most states require the RD. I don't specialize in endocrinology so unfortunately I don't have any good resources for you on that.
@ShivangiSingh-wc3gk Жыл бұрын
@@ireanybeany Thank you for your response, so in prep for being a dietician we don't learn about insulin regulation and stuff like that?
@ireanybeany Жыл бұрын
You learn about basic insulin/hormone regulation in biology/nutrition courses you take on your way to becoming a dietitian but most of the time you don't do a big deep dive into each topic- there would be way too much to cover. And this may also depend on the school you go to, but you don't really get questions about this on the RD exam.

Hi I need help. Is eat right pro worth it? I didn’t pass the exam first time using other methods.
@ireanybeany Жыл бұрын
Hi! I think it is- it was my main studying method. You can try using my scoring method with eat right prep (explained in the video) and compare it to what you scored on your exam. It might help you to identify areas of improvement.

How were you working already as a dietician before taking the exam?
@ireanybeany2 жыл бұрын
I had my preceptor sign off on all my assessments while I was still studying for the exam (I worked at the same hospital that I interned at). Some facilities allow you to work under the supervision of other dietitians for a few months until you get your license but some are more strict about needing your license before they will hire you.
