Huge advocate for reverse planning over here too! I feel like it gives us more confidence in what we get done instead of over planning and then feeling like we didn't accomplish enough.

I was thinking I need to reset our school for the rest of the year. I’m using less than I expected. We collect at the table mostly, too!

I love seeing how other mom’s plan. My routine for planning is that I get everything ready for the following week on Thursday when we finish up that weeks work. 1. I am a “tear apart the workbooks person” so I file all the old work and get the new work out to put in my daughter’s binder. She has a divider pocket for each day of the week so she can just pull out that day’s work instead of having several workbooks to lug around. 2. I tear out/prep a whole months work at a time and paper clip it by week. So The first week takes longer, but then the 3 after that are super quick. 👍🏻 3. I use a regular teacher planner (free from Lakeshore Learning) and keep track of only homeschool stuff in there. I use my phone for all the rest of life. Meal planning, appointments etc. ♥️

@@PenniesAndSalt How sweet of you to ask. I am definitely getting uncomfortable. I am just over 28 weeks and I have to take the 3 hour glucose test because I failed the 1 hour. ugh. I really don't like getting blood drawn...so to have it done 4 times in 3 hours seems a little nerve racking for me. Also, I REALLY don't want to have to sit there for 3 hours wearing a mask. I HATE masks! Anyway, happy January schooling...trying to stay cheery and motivated during these dreary months here in OR!

@@jerilyn-ourhomeschooltable Ugh! That 3 hour glucose is the pits!!! I had to do that with my first! Hopefully all goes well. I will be praying for you!

Is there a link to the free lakeshore learning
@jerilyn-ourhomeschooltable4 жыл бұрын
@@troutfamilylife551 It was an in store special if you spent over $25 I think. They usually do it every Summer, but the one I use was only $6.99 which I think isnt too bad for a planbook. 😄

Before clicking on the kids videos you can save them on a playlist by clicking on the 3 dots by the video image. Hope that makes sense. Usually works for me. :)

I always appreciate your videos!! I always take away something new on each one whether it is a "new to me" resource, book, game, curriculum etc idea. I work full time and find these tidbits so helpful! Today I noticed in your planner Seeds Family worship. I recently stumbled upon them myself but haven't purchased anything as I wasn't sure where to start. Both my kids love music and singing (7/9). Do you have any suggestions on which discs to purchase first? Have a blessed week!

I actually mostly use it on KZbin or on Right Now Media. Our church provides each family with a right now media subscription so see if your church does as well. It has so many WONDERFUL resources on there!
