All local produces and traditional food items are always healthy like peanuts, rice, ghee etc... Only thing is limiting the quantity and increasing physical activity. I mean walking, daily chores, physical work not gym! Please dont elevate western food or lifestyle!

Avoid spray oil which has gas to push the oil, instead buy a oil sprayer and put your desired oil, for stevia drops try to get the leaves safer than the bottled one

Well done Ramya. It is a wholesome video:)). Also talk about glycemic load along with gi; like the watermelon where index may be high but the load is very small that is why it is in the good food list.

Sathu maavu pathi sollunga ramya who can eat that because it also contains all the protein lentils la .. wheather really it has nutrition because all the lentils are dry roasted before they grind

Peanuts are good cholesterol and better quality protein than almond. Don't use jaggery for cooking peanut butter.

Ramya spray coconut oil is good but just also mention that it should be used carefully at open fire. It is highly flammable.

Thanks for the great tips and recommendations for indian grocery. Please do more videos like this for awareness in India. One correction that I differ is with the spray cooking oil. There could be aerosols to get the oil out of the container. It is better to watch what are the ingredients.

hi mam, first thankq for uploading this video... i learned lot...like complex carbo, good fats, fiber, and particularly protein... my daughter always hunger ... i dont know how to manage .. very difficult to handle... because i gave only healthy foods eventhough she will hunger... now i know complex carbohydrates ... based on that i will prepare foods... pls post heathy breakfast for kids... kids always in hungry state... pls post videos mam

This video is informative!good..but before following this get a blood test on your vitamin deficiency (vit D,B,iron hemoglobin)and understand your deficiency and eat accordingly.sometimes what she said wrong might be needed for your body . especially about nuts ,fig . study your body..Go to alab and take these test..the ideal values will be given in the report itself.then check with nutritionist and plan your diet.

Dates do not have much iron as how it is boasted. There are other vegetarian foods that has more iron when compared to Dates, if u r vegetarian. In order to meet your daily iron level in dates, you need to have 100 dates which is practically impossible! Its funny that I often see in India that people relate dates so much with iron/haemoglobin! Also, boiled peanuts are way better than peanut butter with jaggery.

It's an informative video! Great effort and discipline is required to be healthy. Maybe you want to do a little research on tofu because it's not a very healthy source of protein...especially if you are taking more than 3 times a week. It's high in estrogen and may cause hormonal imbalance but tempeh is totally fine. People with estrogen dominance should not take tofu.
