I'm in my early 30s and recently realized that my wardrobe is a random collection of clothes over the years. I watched many your videos, and they were so helpful to figure out how to create a more intentional wardrobe that you really love! I particularly liked the 'The Closet Curation Series'. Your videos have really sparked motivation & joy about trying to style my clothes vs just wearing them, and curating my closet going forward. Thank you for all your content!

I love love love that you put trying the pieces you already own first, before going to find external inspo. That’s such a good advice and I’ll be doing it for my A/W wardrobe. Thank you, Emily!

Those feminine/floral items pair so well w/ casual (or sporty /dark academia /western) pieces. I’ll apply your methods to the summer-fall transition. 🍁 Look forward to seeing the new tailored items. Thanks!

One thing I take into consideration when working out why I haven't worn items is the weather. I live in Denmark, and summers don't tend to be super hot, but the weather can be changeable. Last year, we had a dry and warm June, but July and August were (quite literally) a washout. This meant that in June, I was wearing light layers, and then for the rest of the summer, it was pretty cool and very wet. I did wear some of my wideleg linen trousers, but not as much as usual. July and August, I was in more transitional outfits. So there was a good reason for me not wearing my high summer pieces. The summer before was very hot, so my summer knits didn't get worn so much. This year, it's been very changeable, so I gone from jeans one day to lighter pieces the next. The same applies to winter, but here, it's often my outer layers that come into play. Was it mild enough for my trenchcoat, or did I need my puffa coat for sub zero temperatures?

Hi Emily, I am really struggling with overconsuming at the moment and your tip at the beginning to shop your wardrobe first felt like a lightbulb moment for me - be led by what you have and not by aspirational images. That and taking the time to figure out why you are not leaning towards certain things, and to make an effort to style them and see if they can work. Mind blown 🤯 Thank you so much

Great to have someone working with the same seasons, rather than having to mentally translate things for the southern hemisphere 😂 Just wondering if there's a reason why you look to purchase things as you enter the season? I've been using a wishlist for a few months but it's not organised by season and I have a vague hope of finding end of season bargains (looking for some new knee high boots)

I noticed that when I need to make an effort to style someting, I will just not wear it because I feel too fussy. I want to just throw someting on and feel good. So right now I'm selling all my harder to style items. I'm leaning more and more towards a style uniform with a few beautiful and easy dresses for fun and change. I love how I now feel sleek or pretty with absolutely no effort!

A general question about shopping for the new season...Are the stores in Australia stocking S/S 24 or S/S 25 items? I'm in Massachusetts (US) and heading into fall, but see lots of designers showing S/S 25 collections. These styles won't be in retail stores here until March. Basically wondering if your store offerings are ahead or behind?

This was so good Emily. It's still quite cool and raining here in Western Australia...I'm keen to sort through my spring/summer clothing soon, though. It looks like we are going to have another long hot season here. Ahhhh, Fanta he is just so handsome 🧡☺️ Thank you.

Great video! I have a year round wardrobe of less than 100 pieces (when you exclude underwear but count everything else - hats, belts, swimsuits, outerwear, shoes, etc.). It’s been wonderful to have a carefully curated, organized closet because there’s lots of variety but none of the overwhelm. I have two basic items on my wish list, at the moment. Otherwise, I’m planning on a wardrobe no-buy for the remainder of 2024.

We seem to have skipped Spring and have gone from 16 degrees days to 27 degrees days overnight. I put away winter knits today. I'll look at my summer wardrobe to see what I don't need. My plan is not to need a wish list and not to make any purchases this summer.

Hi Emily, I got my basket bag, exactly like the one you described at Harris Farm in Mosman 2 years ago. They usually stock them in early spring close to the check out area. But be warned, they sell out so fast! Got mine for $50 which I didn’t think was too bad.

I've always been on the fence about putting away clothes into storage or just hidden away in boxes because I feel like I should try and make things work all year round eg summer dresses/skirts with thick tights and boots, to make the most of my clothes. I'm not sure I really do this very often though and things just end up hanging there for most of the year. What are people's thoughts about this?
