I m a med student in Europe and immo 3 on Val. I just spend all my time in the library studying then going to the gym in the evening and the only time for Val is 1-2h in the evening after warming up or holidays and I think it’s the best method. Just some time for yourself before sleep and that’s it

love the mindset that you have. This might be unsolicited advice but I noticed you said to study efficiently, you won't be writing notes. This might seem counter-intuitive but writing down notes helps a LOT (its the reason I have a 3.9 GPA in engineering); looking into this a bit might be worth your time :D. keep up the grind brother hope to see you succeed ^^

ik they work, but they're wildly inefficient and have a low return on investment. as someone trying to min max my time, they're unacceptable, however they definitely will help you learn to some extent. i dont rly need notes bc i have a high cognitive load, while notes are more for people who needd to offload information because their brain cant hold it at all. for me i just note useful resources in class (txtbook pages, videos, etc.) and then memorize / quiz myself on those later. if i really want to make notes of some form, i'd probably make a lesson plan for if i was going to teach the concepts im learning, as this forces understanding. ty for your commentt

great point man, but keep in mind you have to write stuff down when making flashcards as well. i HATE notes because the way most people make them is completely useless, especially if you make them to review for later. if someone gave me their phone number on a piece of paper, would i rewrite it on another piece of paper to study it? ofc i'd just use the paper they gave me in the first place, and i feel like most people use notes like idiots, rewriting information that can just be studied directly from the source.
