This is by far one of my favourite paintings that I have created ever since getting back into art. Third time really is the charm since this is also the third painting I created on the wooden panel, which are now all used! 🥳 I cannot emphasise enough how that's a very big achievement for me. I've had those three wooden panels in my drawer for YEARS!
In this video, I talk about how I now practice self-critique for my art because I am back to being a student to my old self and how she used to draw and paint. It's enabled me to view my creations as stepping stones and opportunities for learning. I'm definitely feeling positive about my art and keen to create more and more. ENJOY!

The painting and content of this video was great. Coming back into art is so hard and feeling like you lost skill makes it harder. Did you find yourself critiquing right after finishing the painting or did you come back to it later with fresh eyes?

Thank you so much! 😃😃 It’s a bit of both. I definitely always critique after, but sometimes I can tell if I don’t like something as I’m doing it, so I either try and fix it on the spot and either it gets fixed or it doesn’t 😅
