How I Pre-Sprout My Dahlias for Earlier Blooms

Good timing. I'm behind on my dahlias and I always have issues

I am starting dahlia's from seed I got at Baker Creek. I am way to frugal to buy tubers. First time for this flower as each year I try to add one or two flowers to make my wife happy. They will be in containers, and I will likely overwinter them in my seed starting room in the basement. I feel for you carrying things up the stairs, been there done that a few to many times.

I've planted a lot of my dahlias now as well , only had one last year but this year I have 8 😅

Ahh I was waiting for this video 😃😃. I really was worried since all my tubers I had received were pre-sprouted(white small stem with no leaves coming out) .. I was so confused if I should put them next to window or in dark .. currently I kept them in my bathroom with no window -- but looks like once and if green leaves come I will move them next to windows 🤞🏻let me know if my method is incorrect…

This video was right on time. I just purchased my 1st Dahlia..I planted it in a pot yesterday. Do you think I can store it in my unheated garage over winter?

That’s what I do but our garage is very insulated. You want to make sure temps over winter stay above freezing, but under about 50 degrees.
