Great video. As for your choice in shoes, they are all made in the same factory. What is important, is the material. Cotton is cotton. Just my opinion. On another note, your videos are great! I appreciate you sharing your work and how you do it. Your work is very good. ⚘

I’m pretty sure not all shoes are made in the same factory. There’s a reason why cheaper shoes cost less. They have cheaper material and wear down quicker than more expensive shoes. They last for a shorter time.

Hi, Thanks for this video. I was wondering if white converses are actually ‘white’ - specifically, Will Angelus white paint blend with the fabric? If I paint an area white before starting will this help my design not bleed into the fabric when I add it on top? Hope that makes sense! My second question is if pencil will transfer onto paint with tracing paper as it does on to fabric? So could I paint an area white, then transfer a pencil stencil on top of that? Thanks very much.

I want to paint rainbow colours onto black Converse, and I have Marabu fabric colour for this. The description says you need to wash fabric before painting it, otherwise the paint will come off at some point. That is my first problem... I guess I could put them in the washing machine though. Marabu claims their fabric colours will cover dark fabric without priming. Now I´m wondering if acrylic paint is a durable as fabric paint, or even better? Has anyone tested what type of colours work best on dark Converse?

Hi thank you for the video it was really helpful!! I'm trying to paint some shoes for the first time and I have black converse high tops. I was wondering if i wanted a white background to work with would i be able to use white fabric paint on top of my black shoes or would it not really show up well or show up inconsistent? Thank you!!

That should work! I have another video where I use white fabric paint on gray shoes and it works just fine :) Hope this helps! ❤

Hi, I had a question. Would it be fine if I just used normal acrylic paint and later seal it with mod podge?
@PaigeBook3 жыл бұрын
Did you ever do it lol
@swag29135 жыл бұрын
Do you seal it with anything when you’re done? I’m thinking of painting an old pair I have and I don’t know if I need to and if so what do I do it with
@erinohagan88395 жыл бұрын
Hey there! I don't use a sealant. The paint I use is quite durable on it's own so there's no real need for it.

Just got into painting recently and I wanna paint some shoes. just asking but is it better to use painter's tape or can I use masking tape cause that's what I have. Also, do I have to use paint retarder or is using acrylic paint on it's own just fine? I'm planning on sealing my work with mod podge once I'm done.

Heey so i have a question. I have there yellow hi top converse all stars and i want them to be white. Can i bleach them to make them really white?
@erinohagan88394 жыл бұрын
Sorry it took me so long to reply! I'm not sure what effect bleach would have on yellow shoes so honestly, I'd advise just getting white ones. Sorry again for the delay!

Wouldn't the paint wear off if you wash it?
@erinohagan88395 жыл бұрын
Nope! Acrylic paint is extremely durable. Its essentially liquid plastic :)

@@erinohagan8839 Hi! I was about to ask the same question :) So thank you for the answer, I only have one further question. How much does it matter, what quality you work with? I'm just starting out, occasionally I hope to be able to upgrade, but I need quality products, to be able to grow. What is your advice on the 'starter pack"? Should I invest in 3-4 colours, but higher quality, or more colors and a medium quality is enough?
@erinohagan88394 жыл бұрын
@@biankaovsepian-pataki7226 Hey there! I've definitely found that quality matters as I've painted more shoes. I've actually recently invested in a full set of Angelus leather paints and I can already see a big difference! But for a "starter pack" I'd recommend getting 4 or 5 good quality acrylic paints and paint retarder. Then as you build your skills and confidence you can slowly upgrade. Hope this helps!

@@erinohagan8839 it does for sure! I've only finished sewing buttons on my shoe, I haven't started painting yet, now I kniw where to begin. Thank you! Also, your works are dope :D
