Another very enjoyable video, I don't own a bike but your video is informative and they are also varied which I enjoy, as we don't know what's coming next, looking forward to the next one 😀

I have the same bike and fitted a rear hugger and front fender extender helps to limit road spray over radiator and rear end of bike.

Oh really? That’s great to know! thank you. I will have a look for them for my bike. I believe they would definitely help me; just after one ride it’s covered in dirt.

I find the only thing that actually protects metal and stops corrosion is a 30/70 mix of engine oil and liquid WD40 mixed up in a plant sprayer. Anything that isn't brakes or tyres gets a douse. It looks like shit but it sticks like glue and when you actually wash the bike, nothing has rusted. It also pays to pay attention to electrical connectors because your loom will suffer if you don't. I have bought a few bikes that looked very clean and then required extensive connector attention because everything was green. Spray it or suffer the consequences.

That’s good to know, I haven’t looked at the connectors! I’ll be sure to do that very soon. I knew someone who put old engine oil under their car every time they serviced it and the thing was solid underneath. I will probably try it as the ACF50 does a good job, but I don’t think it stops rust completely as some rust spots have appeared over the two years I’ve had the bike and I do use it all the time. If I didn’t use it… I’m sure it would be a lot worse though.

Bin the sponge, get a wash mitt 👍

Thank you for the suggestion 🙂 I’ll definitely try a wash mitt next time

I'd would not use pressure washers they can cause corrosion around bearings buckets of hot soapy water is fine also Gt 85 is a great product for chain sprocket and metal does all jobs in one cheers thanks for content

Thank you, I’ll have a look into GT85. And I’ll be careful with the jet wash, it’s on the lightest setting and I can put my hand under the water. 🙂

I think its a case of way to skin a cat (yours lives outside which is always worse)...i dont do any of that....my z1000 is my daily commuter...10 years old, most of it cerakoated so i dont need acf, i clean mine once a week all over with WD40 and WD silicone shine for the bodywork. For the chain i use parafin, a wirebrush and then WD40 chainwax. That been said you got it clean and thats all that matters.

I agree with you. Everyone is different and likes to do things their own way; which is great. That’s how we all learn new things. As long as the bike gets clean 🙂 thank you for the comment
