Great video FBC!! I really like those handle bars.

They have a nice feel, they could use risers to get them just above the rider's knees. I finally cut back the stumps in the woods and this thing is perfect to blast around on, probably only geared for about 25mph but it's plenty around the trees.

That will make for a nice track through the woods. Definitely be careful around the trees!

@DIYWilly hopefully it smooths out as I ride it. Lol right now it seems like the faster I go the smoother it is....except for my back! I've been thinking about doing a dirtbike build with real suspension.

@@fatbuddycat A dirt bike build would good to watch. Full suspension would help with the back.. What happened to the 250 Hawk?

It's a fun bike in the woods, probably only gets like 25 mph with the 60t but it gets there quickly.

Thanks! These videos are definitely for guys who like to see everything that goes into building quality machines. I just scooped a beautiful dual suspension Massimo yesterday, the trail I made is a little rough on the bum!!

That’s a lot of geometry !

It works great though! I love mechanical things and simplicity. The reason I use these linkages is because of how smooth they are. The one on my other bike has the same linkage but the governor arm completely removed so it is more direct.

@mklein5179 I have a few slide jobs too. I'll most likely end up throwing a built engine on this. I'm interested to find out what the jackshaft can handle! 😆

hi Fatbuddycat, love watching your videos on wildcat 223 and bt200x builds. wanted to know if i bought a comet tav2 for my wildcat 223 all stock will it fit on the engine or would i need to cut a fin on the comet so it would fit? its going onto my bt200x. i got the plate riser so i dont want to cut the frame of the bt200x. i know i would have to cut or shave the oil plug but dont really want to cut the comet fin. also my bt200x is all stock. 50 tooth rear which i want to keep also. let me know please and thank you in advance. p.s i must of watched some of your videos over and over, love it !

I don't cut the fins but on the tav 30 plates I lop the end off behind the pulley a little bit to help with clearance. I'll have to get the full Comet torque converter system to be sure.

@@fatbuddycat Thank you for the response, when you say lop the end off behind the pully, what do you mean by that? sorry. just want to make sure i understand what you mean.

@user-pl1ju8ht2o if you flip the mounting plate over, there are triangle pieces of metal going to the jackshaft, I stay away from those about a 1/2 inch and mark a line from top to bottom along the rear of the plate. I then cut it off. It helps open up room when mounting and frees up the area where the chain feeds back onto the torque converter sprocket.

Your going to want to start with an adjustable non-epa style carb. Are you keeping the stock air box and exhaust?
@fatbuddycat
@fatbuddycat 11 ай бұрын
This is a basic carb option that I've used numerous times on stock engines. www.ombwarehouse.com/non-epa-carburetor-for-predator-212cc-honda-gx200-6-5hp-hisun.html

This is a similar option that I've had great luck with, specifically when tuning my jets for intake and headers. On my BT200X that I raced at Goma's I ran that other one from omb with very simple jetting and a modified stock air box.... www.eccarburetors.com/tillotson-212-predator-224-pk-3a-stock-carburetor

@user-pl1ju8ht2o then definitely the one from omb. You can get cheaper ones elsewhere but they have a standard of quality at the warehouse. $21 and a couple bucks shipping is worth having the good stuff. The customer service you receive is priceless.
