Couldn't come at a better time than now, it has been a emotional rollercoaster for me for these past 3 months in university where I was unsure of what I want to do in my life. Fell in between the cracks and lost sight of what I was fighting for and the fact that I've had a tendency to never be kind to myself, beating myself up for not completing unrealistic expectations of the amount of workload. Thanks for the advice Mariana, and I like the idea of journal writing, it seems it's the sort of clarity I need right now.

Thank you, I touched bottom last month and this is most of what I've done since then. It's really hard to take the decision of letting yourself free of guilt for taking care of your mental health and putting it first on your priority list, but it is so important. I would add to open up to someone you trust about how you're feeling because they might be able to give you perspective, love and hope, when you don't feel like life has any meaning or joy. It is also so helpful , to go talk to a therapist so you can understand your thoughts and feelings better. I give you a big Internet hug all the way from Chile... I'm rooting for you😘

I have been stuck in a rut since the term started, which was a little over 2 months ago. I was overwhelmed by the work I had to do and demotivated by the bad grades I got last term. Even though I continued to do my work, everything I produced was of bad quality because I was so demotivated. Right now I’m really really trying to get back on my feet and get rid of the toxic mindset that put me into a vicious cycle of procrastination & feeling guilty for not being productive. I’ve struggled with perfectionism practically all throughout my academic life, & realizing that was just the first step I needed to take. It’s good to have someone remind you that this won’t go on forever. ❤️ Thank you so much for this video.

The one big away take away that I didn’t fully know was the duration of the hard break you suggested. I always knew breaks were key to success but not days long. That statement made me curious and caused me to reflect on my past breaks. There was one time during finals week where I just couldn’t get any work done and i concluded to take a break for a couple hours. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough and the fact I wasn’t getting back on tract made me more frustrated, further hampering my productivity. I’ll keep your statement in my mind next time I decide to take a break. Thanks for uploading this vid

I was stuck in a rut all of the previous school year. It was a very important school year as I had to write an important exam at the end of it. Throughout the entire year, I lacked motivation and barely studied. My mental state wasn't the best, and I just didn't have any reason left to study. Nothing motivated me. I somehow have written the exam and though I know I haven't blown it, I'm not completely satisfied. However, I immediately felt more motivated and ready to start a new academic year after a good week of summer break. I'm still in summer break but will start classes in a few days. I've been ready and motivated for college since then and throughout the entire summer break. I guess, a good rest, mentally, and the closure that all this is finally over really helped me get over this rut of mine. I'm now prepared for the coming school year.

This whole semester has been pretty sh*t for me. Dealing with self doubt, a hostile home environment and dealing with older men at school trying to hit on me and not leaving me alone definitely did not put me in the right mindset. I fell behind tremendously in school. I'm currently in finals week and find it extremely difficult for me to find the motivation to keep going. I will say that this video has been helpful in giving me tips in what to do if I ever experience these feelings of falling behind. It makes sort of look forward to things in hope that they'll get better, even though right now they don't feel as such.

1. Allow yourself to rest/break/non productive period. 2. Think of a new strategy. Brainstorm to change the direction. 3. Surround yourself with an inspiring environment & thoughts. 4. Find a way to vent your frustration- talking to friend, sketching, journaling. Judt have faith and do what's necessary
