My biggest struggle is nutrition; knowing what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat and how to spread out my meals/calories/macros across the day. It’s hard to know what a portion is or looks like especially with all the diet culture rules around. Idk where to start as it’s so overwhelming but I want to make changes so badly.
@h3arty2 ай бұрын
All I want to do is eat haha
@valentinahajas_2 ай бұрын
I understand you, I felt the same. For me what helped is to know how much calories can I eat a day and look up daily meals that are already planned for that amount. (On pinterest there are ideas) Try a plan and adjust the flavors to yourself. After two-three weeks you will understand how much is a portion and how much food is a certain amount of calories. And take note of how many hours does a meal make you feel full.

This makes so much sense to me! I am at your beginning stage. I exercise, count calories (not all the time) and am doing IF now. But I'm still stuck at the "fluffy stage". My exercises aren't consistent and i switch them constantly and barely see a change. This is so motivating and I am going to adopt this mindset!! Thank you so much for the motivation and boost I need, so I can be the best version of myself! ❤

This has come at a perfect time. Only this morning was I discussing these things with my coach. I, too, have looked back at myself and how I felt. But it wasn't two years ago. It was twenty years ago. I am two years off 60, and it is time to respect who I am now and be proud of my achievements. I train, eat a nutritious diet, run, swim, and love my life. But, like you, I don't feel my best, so it is about time I did. x

This is so true- i would work out, eat vegan, have a cheat day once a week and felt I wasn’t getting any stronger. **Small things that have helped me ** - def workout the amount of Days you set for Your self - even if it’s 10 min Sometimes I would workout in the evening the full 50 if I know the next day is going to be rough at work. Just be committed😊 - also weight training !!! It will keep you slim using The same weights and tone you if you increase the weights. - I also realized I wasn’t getting enough protein being vegan - so I switch 4 days chicken / turkey, 3 days vegetarian or vegan. - I also moved my workouts to the morning - so I wouldn’t stop and do some doom scrolling bc I wouldn’t have the time too lol. It also keeps me committed since most plans are made after work

I don’t want to kill your spirit, but perimenopause is a bad time to double down. Be kind to your body and don’t exhaust yourself. Try to focus on good nutrition, stay away from junk food and alcohol. Good sleep hygiene is also important from here on. I wish I could go back and have a redo. I’d feel so much better. Step 1. Not have a day job so you can go to the gym in the middle of the day
@roxsan1396Ай бұрын
That’s a bit of a cop out! A lot of people go to the gym in the evening after work… Also just because she has the flexibility to work out in the day doesn’t mean she’s not working throughout the rest of the day. Ultimately you create a routine around your schedule. Obviously there are people that will truly struggle to find time, but for most, you have to make time for what is important. You may not always be consistent (that’s life) but you can at least strive for that.

I work 9-6, go to classes twice per week, and that’s an excuse sorry! I wake up at 6:15 and go to the gym at 7am, or at my lunch time or after work. A day has 24h, it is not possible that you lack 45’ to work out. 😢

I am a stay at home mom of 2 little kids. We have no relatives and no help from anyone to watch my kids for me to do anything by myself during the day (or EVER) while my husband is at work. SO...I wake up at 5:30am to go to the gym while my husband and kids are sleeping to get in a workout every morning. I am home by 7am from the gym and then my husband goes to work and take take care of my kids, clean my house, do laundry, walk my dog (along with ny kids), cook, etc. I make sure to get myself to bed by 9pm so that I still get a good night's sleep despite waking at 5:30am.
