I had blonde highlights over the summer then used an adore semi permanent dye around two weeks ago using about 20vol developer(my natural hair is a super super dark brown) to go burgundy. I’ve been using anti dandruff shampoo for a bit to get the color out and it’s faded a bit but there’s still a fair amount of pigment left on the highlights and ends. This should remove the color right?
@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
Yes! This method should definitely help. The condition of your hair will come into play with how good this works. If your hair is more porous, it might come out a lot better. If you try it, let me know if it worked or not.

@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
Purple is the best color to try to get out because it will tone your base color underneath of it, meaning you'll have less brass. Last time I used this method to get out purple, I ended up with silver hair. My base was a level 9/10 though. Good luck! I hope it works.

I wanna get my hair dye out because: 1. It damaged my hair. Not a whole lot but it isn’t as good as before 2. I go to a school where dying your hair isn’t allowed. I dyed my hair because it’s summer break. 3. I would dye my hair black again before school starts but I’m afraid I would damage my hair more. 4. I don’t wanna shave my hair off.

@@smellmytosis45 I actually started using that method a few months ago and it does take out way more color. But it's more damaging because it has developer in it. My hair was legit breaking. So I can only use it once in a great while.

i had my hair dyed permanently red and put brown dye on top of it but it didn’t work, will this take the red tones out of my hair???
@ce34743 жыл бұрын
I would say it might strip any dye whatever color is in your hair(including a the brown) Do you know the level your hair color is at? She’s stripping all the color that’s why it fades to blonde. Her hair level was already at like a 10 under the red. So it helps. If you’re trying to just get rid of the red you can try a toner or you may have to lift. The red she has in the video is permanent doesn’t budge because its a permanent so if you dyed your hair with a permanent hair color you will have to lift or possibly add a toner. Good luck!
@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
I doubt this method will help you much. Like the previous commenter said - in this video, my roots were red, and the vitamin c hardly did anything to that part of my hair. This is meant for semi permanent colors like arctic fox, manic panic, etc. If I were you, I'd just use color oops on it. That stuff works great on permanent color and is non-damaging. But like this method, it is drying because of how many times you have to shampoo. But color oops will just take you back to whatever color you have underneath the dye. Then you could dye your brown over that. If you do that, just make sure you follow the directions exactly. If not, color molecules could still be present in your hair and when you go to dye it next, the developer will oxidize the leftover color molecules and reactivate. So that red would come back. This has happened to me in the past and it was super annoying lol.

I have naturally black hair, and I used some blonde highlights that ended up being too light. Will this remove the hair colour? Is there any other method you’d suggest? Please help me out😭
@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
No. When you get highlights, that means bleach. Bleach removes the pigment from your hair. The only thing you can do is dye it back to the color it was before. If it’s super blonde, you may have to “fill” the hair before coloring over it with black. There’s tons of videos on here about filling. Hope this helps :)

Hi so I beach my hair orange and I am wondering if there a way to take out all the orange.
@heyitsleyy2 жыл бұрын
You can't take away the orange. Orange is a part of the natural pigments in your hair. It's a stage you can't avoid when lightening it. So you'll either have to tone it with a blue-based color, or continue to lighten it further. I'd definitely go to a beauty supply store and ask with help to determine the level of your hair currently so you can find a color to cancel out the orange. Hope this helps

@heyitsleyy2 жыл бұрын
if it was a permanent color, you'll have to use something like color oops first if your goal is to just remove the black. If you want highlights, you'll have to use bleach or a highlift color on natural hair.

@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
Should be fine! I'd just hydrate your hair really well after. Let me know how it turns out. :) Orange will be a good base for brown because at least you know it won't turn green. I've put permanent brown dye over purple hair once... and my hair turned almost black with a murky green tinge. And it faded to a light brown... still with a green tinge over time lol.

Can you write here what you use because my English is not good I will translate it for me and I want know please what you use can be you answer in my comment please, and can I put this in my natural hair I want more light hair natural
@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
This process will not lift natural hair color. It only works on semi permanent hair color such as Arctic Fox, Manic Panic, Ion Brights, Iroiro, etc... It opens up your hair cuticle to allow the color to run out faster than if you were to just wash it every day. I start by pouring enough anti-dandruff shampoo in a bowl to cover my entire head. Then I grind up about 20 vitamin c pills. You can use vitamin c powder if you can find it, but not the flavored kind. You just want white powder or pills. I mix it together, then apply to slightly damp or towel dried hair because it helps it lather better. You can do this on dry hair, but will likely need to use more products. Let it sit on your hair for 45 minutes, then rinse out thoroughly. I then follow up with a apple cider vinegar rinse. The recipe for this is just 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar mixed with 2 cups of purified water. I let the ends of my hair sit in the mixture for 5 minutes. Then I pour the rest throughout my hair and let it air dry. It helps to restore your hairs natural Ph. Hope this helps

only if it's a semi permanent black, like arctic fox, iroiro, manic panic, etc.. I don't think it will help much with permanent dyes. In this video, my roots were permanent red and it hardly did anything to them. My lengths were Arctic Fox, I believe, and it eventually took out all the color.

@heyitsleyy3 жыл бұрын
No. Bleach isn't a color. When you bleach your hair, it removes the pigment from your hair. It doesn't add pigment. If you're trying to go back to your natural color, you'll have to color over the bleach to make it darker.
