This will work for some people and won’t work for others. It depends on your hair history, what colors you used and so many other factors. I’ve done This SO many times and my hair has never fallen out. That being said just because mine didn’t fall out doesn’t mean your hair won’t. If your doing some weird at home mix of things like I do YOU are risking damage to your hair. I made this video because it has been a life saver for me. If YOU choose to do this YOU are taking a risk, it’s not on me. Mmkkkaayyyy????

I tried this method without dandruff shampoo and only used purple shampoo and dawn dish soap, baking soda and 20 developer. My hair was faded Extreme Teal by Overtone. I dyed my hair twice, and my roots are coming back in. I'm applying for jobs and need to get it all out so I have a more professional hairstyle for my next job. This WORKED FOR ME! My hair is normal wavy and I have a buzzed side pixie cut, so very short hair. I've only dyed it this once, so the method stripped almost all of the color out. There are some blue areas where it was still pretty vibrant in the middle, but overall this worked wonders and toned down the original yellow bits of the original bleach blonde. Thanks for the tips!
@carolinemk84 жыл бұрын
By the way, for all things when using chemicals or bleach: let your hair get oily. Do the treatment after 5-6 days of not washing your hair. The more oil the better! Maybe do a few masks beforehand if your hair is already dry. Also doing a 15 minute mask afterwards helps. NEVER do this after you just washed your hair the night before. Your hair will be too clean and may become suuuper dry or damaged.

For anyone worried about doing this on damaged hair, it does vary for everybody but half of my bangs I recently bleached and dyed green. I bleached them once again after this and used this method today to make the ends lighter. My hair is damaged, but I have thick hair and it has NOT made my hair break more or fall out. However if you have thin hair it may affect it more, I’m not sure. Like she says do it at your own risk but for me it was fine - it should be fine for you too If you have damaged hair. And yes it did work but slightly so I’ll have to do it a few more times to get the colour I want.

This is my update for you of how I handled it, in the process i'm going to let my hair grow out and then cut away the hair I have "damaged" over the times of coloring and lightly CAREFULLY bleaching my hair. thank you so much for the videos you post up, love your work and stay beautiful!!!!

What is the purpose of the Dawn & dandruff shampoos? That's high alkali items and you mix with baking soda which is a lower Ph. You already have the sudsing shampoo which is a high alkai, too. The developer is also a lifting item with a high Ph, yet I can see the need for that.

Btw I love ur vids but I have a question I just did my hair red an blonde how do I was it so the red don’t go into the blonde I washed mine in cold water an the blonde turned orange
@rebeccaleah77064 жыл бұрын
I used the L'oeal burgundy temporary/washout dye and it stained my bleached hair blue and hasn't faded completely from my natural hair (a sandy blonde). I tried using dish soap, purple shampoo, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide yet it did absolutely nothing to my hair. Should I just dye my hair all back to my blonde colour using a box dye? It is currently 4 different colours - about 4 inch root, half blonde half pinky/purple tone and the rest is a mix of yellow bleach and blue stained bleach.

What is the purpose of the purple shampoo in this? I know the Dawn and Dandruff shampoos are stripping, but why the purple? To tone the hair as it goes blonde?

So I put artic fox wrath on my brown hair if I want to do this method to take the red out do I still use the purple shampoo or is it not needed since my hair isn't blonde underneath??
@donnawhite46885 жыл бұрын
Yeah you shouldn't need it because you're just trying to get back to your brown hair. If you were blonde underneath and wanted to get rid of yellow that's what the purple shampoo is for

I use purple shampoo on my brown hair and it seems to fade out the semi permanent color... Just be aware that purple shampoo does dry out your hair so make sure you condition afterwards xP

Does it work well with green? I dyed my hair blue and it's now faded into a mint green color and just stuck there no matter how many times I dumped my hair under swimming pool' water 😢

Will this work on a pixie cut red ruby splat hair that I applied only to bleached virgin hair (several months ago I bleached my virgin natural dirty blond hair & did nothing except a toner & an alien grey semi permanent until the splat was added)? I don’t want my hair to fall out & this method sounds risky...the roots have grown an inch in already. What ratios of this mixture would you recommend for my pixie hair?

Arctic fox purples are hard to get out. I'm at a pale violet dream closest to my scalp but the rest is back to blonde. If you can sit out in the sun or chlorine

Do you think this would work on completely virgin hair if you’re trying to lighten before dyeing?

Why the heck are yall using dawn disliquid when you do not know what chemicals are in it? Anyway afterwards please do a wheat protein treatment and neutralize your hair to help restore the ph. You can also do a collagen or gelatin treatment for your protein.

So I just tried this.. my situation was I used splat purple dye and my hair rejected half of it, so I then put a permanent purple on and it still rejected it. So I tried this. My hair is now blotchy lighter pink, and my roots are YELLOW! I was hoping and praying this would work, but unfortunately, because, what I believe is that the splat is what rejected this from working. So probably don’t use this if it’s splat!

I actually did this same mix before seeing this video, and it didn't take much of the color out for me :( I used Iroiro's pink, diluted with conditioner, and came out brighter than I wanted. I did a bleach bath 5 days later, and also only removed a TINY amount of the color. It's surprisingly been difficult trying to fade this color.
