Fantastic video, thoroughly enjoyed it. Great to see you have added to your channel, what is an excellent demonstration of how easy it is to repair your kit and ensure its fit for purpose, in your usual clear, concise and easy to follow manner. There will no doubt be a few of your viewers who have went to the expense of replacing kit rather than taking the time to try and repair it first. That repair you have made took minimal time to do, but will stand up to the elements ensuring that the tarp will be used for many more outings to come. I'm sure a kit care and repair series of videos would be welcomed by your viewers. Keep up the fantastic work and doing what you're doing. ATB👍

Great video. I would like to have seen one of the earlier repairs and I wonder if making the patches round rather than square - a bit like bicycle puncture patches. Thanks for filming, Andy

Brilliant Scott, you’ve just saved everyone a fortune with this tip. I’ve always saved the patch material you get with a tent, but didn’t know about the tenacious tape and seamgrip glue. Much better to repair than replace 👍👍

Thanks mate appreciate your comment. I only researched it as 'it happened to me' I found that they held up well. I was gutted that it happened had like 15 - 20 holes in i wasnt impressed. So i thought I'd share. Much cheaper than replacing and still plenty left for more repairs. 🤙👍

Good video. This is the exact type of repair I need to do for the floor of my tent. My only comment is that everyone says to round the corners on the tape before applying so there are no sharp edges that may eventually "come up" and allow the tape to come off. Maybe not critical, but it makes sense that rounding the corners would make it more likely to stay on forever.

great vid, clear and precise instructions from you, sharing your own experiences is far better than us trying to figure out written instructions (well, for me it is!) cheers mate, keep em coming.

Thanks mate appreciate your comment. I only researched it as 'it happened to me' I didnt like just 1 bit of tape, which is what was recommended, or one blob.. which was again what was recommended. So combined everything and worked really well. Strung it up in the garden and tested it out.. 🤙👍

Most adhesive tapes stick much better if you apply pressure to activate the adhesive - follow instructions of course

great video as always i do the same but with round patches as I was told that they are less likely to catch the edges i don't know if this is right but seem sound advice to me ATB Bryn

That sounds a good tip, rounding off... I'll have a go at that. Thanks mate appreciate your comment. I only researched it as 'it happened to me' I found that they held up well. I was gutted that it happened had like 15 - 20 holes in i wasnt impressed. So i thought I'd share. Much cheaper than replacing and still plenty left for more repairs. 🤙👍

Useful video, thanks very much. The only thing I do differently is I cut the corners off of the patch and/or tenacious tape. Being rounded makes it much less likely to lift in the future. Thanks for sharing. By the way. Where do you get your tape and seam seal from? All the best, Paul. OmO

Tape and seam seal where both go Outdoors mate. I'll try rounding off. Sounds a good idea. Thanks mate.

Thanks for that. My last lot of clear tape came from eBay. I’ll check with GoOutdoors. I doubt people have been bulk buying that! 🤦🏻♂️
