Is your hvac unit ready for an upgrade? In this video I show how a company of one replaces a 4 ton heat pump split system as well as relocate the outdoor condensing unit to the side of the home. The existing heating and air conditioning unit had a faulty circuit board in the outdoor unit and a leaking indoor coil. This is how I replace a hvac split system. Hope you enjoy the video.

Great work and clean install. How come you didn’t use nitrogen when you were brazen? I would have put a inline safety switch in the primary also. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos and I’m leaning tips and trick from you too, thank you.

Very refreshing to see your natural skill and attention to detail. Having had some of the worst quality HVAC work done at my own home has lead me to look to real pros like you to restore my faith in the craft of HVAC. They should use your videos when training new HVAC techs. I don't think the average person realizes how many different skills are required to perform your craft.

Thank you so much for this awesome install video. I'm still new to the field but have 2 years of install experience but I've never done an Install on my own and lately haven't been in the field working because I just been bullshitting. It takes money to make money and I don't have the money to buy all the tools I need for install and service. I feel like the longer im out of work the knowledge is going to slip away but seeing this just gave me the boost I need to stop procrastinating and really work towards owning my own mobile Hvac business and become more solid in this trade man this is fucking awesome. I guess as a new fan if I do have any suggestions it would be maybe be a little more detail for the new techs in the field so that way we can refer back to your video if we get stuck on something from recovering, running a vacuum, wiring up the unit, measuring where to make your holes and cuts etc... Other than that great job, you definitely made a new subscriber tonight from Detroit, MI im about to watch some more of your videos now.

The best thing you can do on an install is flow nitrogen while brazing to reduce oxidation. Also without a decay test you have no idea what really happen with your vacuum. But you could have done both but didn’t see nitrogen while brazing.

Man I work for a company who’s owner does clean work exactly like you but due to growing fast and not maintaining standards as high as should probably be done, the norm now is to do work that’s just slightly better then our competitors so seeing your workmanship really re inspires me to do neat and clean work like that again and the fact you do it by yourself tells me that since I have a helper I can definitely do work that clean thank you so much for the inspiration!! Question: how long is it taking you to do a standard split system change out. No line set no duct work no new wires????

clean like it a lot only complaint is the filter dryer being within 6 inches of the expansion device. idk about Goodman but carrier doesn't want it too close to the metering device. I imagine the reason is later down the road that filter dryer gets a bit packed it create a pressure drop right before the expansion device causing it to no be a %100 column of liquid. super specific situation but if it didn't mater the wouldn't put it in the manual. constructive criticism is a great way for improvement.

One question, I was told that when you braze copper lines you should run nitrogen through them just a bit so you displace the air and don't get oxidation inside from the heat. That's how I've done it and it definitely works, but is that oxidation a problem that can clog a txv or dryer etc? Or is that overkill? Because it looks like you don't cut any corners but I haven't noticed you doing that in your videos.
