For ANYONE having issues with their hair not dropping after taking it out of a pineapple! I have TIPS! 😊 Make sure you aren't using a really tight hair tie, I use one that's stretch out so my curls won't be bent. Shake your head to release that tight hold. Then Rub your hands with oil, With one hand at the crown (top) pull your hair out and down. Repeat this same motion with your other hand for your hair at the bottom. Hope this helps with your next wash and go guys! 💕

Naptural85 Ooh yes, I know about that. It's natural and unavoidable. I'm talking about that traction alopecia from "protective styling," and other damaging styles. I didn't realize how much I needed and loved my edges until some of it came out after wearing crochet. I have to protect my edges, especially at a year post, "they all I got."

I would love a how to pineapple video like you mentioned because it never seems to work for me (stretches my hair almost straight in some parts & causes the definition to disappear) so i never have more than one day with an "out" wash & go, it always ends up in a puff second day. You're my hair twin, so i'm excited to see how you do it!
@beaubeauknows36207 жыл бұрын
Dee B wear multiple puffs! My hair isnt long enough for 1 pineapple so at night i do 2-3 loose ponytails/pineapples
@beaubeauknows36207 жыл бұрын

shanekqua rhodes lol, that's my hair. once I puff, I'm committed. my hair is wiry, so like a wire, once you bend it, it stays in that place. A!so once I stretch it, that curl is gone, I either have straight hair or frizz. Whitney has a more thready/silky texture so her hair is a bit more pliable than mine....
@Naptural857 жыл бұрын
LOL, I feel you! That would happen to me, IF I left this up longer, but since I only leave it in for one hour, it doesn't have enough time to set permanently like it usually would, lol! Just enough to give some height. Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised! Just up to an hour on a fresh wash and go! I'll also show you how I pineapple my hair at night soon! I used to hate them bc my hair also wouldn't fall down, but I figured out a good method! XoXo!! ❤️

What porosity is your hair? If I even spritz my hair a little its puffs up bc is super high porosity and its never shiny, like ever lol
@thedenofeverything45037 жыл бұрын
PrettyLittleFro she did a video using the High Porosity hair line from Shea Moisture, because she's colored her hair a few times and as we all know that causes break down in protein bonds in the hair making it more porous. She has high porosity hair. You can tell by how she applies her products in the shower. But she seals in the moisture in her curls so well with all the oils and butters etc. every wash day that she can actually mist her hair with water and not get the instant frizz some of us suffer from. lol. From what I can tell, she's high porosity. It takes me like 15 minutes of standing in the shower with the water running over my hair before I get any kind of penetration or hang. Just saying. I could always be wrong 😅💁
@PrettyLittleFro7 жыл бұрын
Thanks!
@Naptural857 жыл бұрын
XoXo!! Yes!! I believe I'm high porosity, but I'll be doing an official test soon! But everything that has worked well in my hair, from how I seal to the products I use have me thinking it's probably high! ❤️❤️❤️

I like that she wasnt afraid to cut her hair. There's so many girls, even some youtubers who hold on to damage ends (sometimes its more than just the ends) just to have long hair, especially the youtube ones. I don't blame them though, I probably couldn't do it because I'll admit I'm obsessed with length, mainly because my face is fat, well every thing about me is fat you can call me shrek. I'll be glad when my hair is long enough where I can trim or or shape it without freaking out about it. I'll also be glad when I can do a wash and go and not have to stretch it afterwards. Sometimes stretching can mess up the styles.
