Disclaimer for girls with sensitive skin - this does NOT work for everyone, so do a patch test if you can. Shaving my face with this exact routine mentioned (same products and everything) gave me the worst breakout possible! I’m sure it works for a lot of people but I just wanted to put this out there. 💕
@Em222145 жыл бұрын
I agree. In my personal experience, with my sensitive skin (like carli I’m allergic to the waxes) the first time I used these razors and did this even carefully I did get red and irritated and broke out a little bit and got some nicks and cuts, but it went down just a little while after. And the more you do it, the more you’ll skin will get used to it and react better. Now it doesn’t even get red when I do it. The first time trying new things out on sensitive skin always sucks so have an open mind with that🙂

Very true! Also for me, I get stubble in literally a couple of hrs--not cute!! I'm trying threading--seems to be a great option for people with sensitive skin, just don't do it the day of an important event or anything because it's still gonna get red initially! ❤

Hi Carli my name is Beth and I’m a licensed esthetician. If you are starting to experience dark spots or what we call hyperpigmentation, I would strongly suggest you try the Power Bright TRx products from Dermalogica. They are sold at Ulta Beauty or online and have worked beautifully for my clients. If you had to choose one to try I would go with the C-12 Pure Bright serum but the 3 products from the line work best together. You can also try the travel kit just to see how you like them and Dermalogica is also cruelty free!! Love your videos and the kindness you bring to this world!

Hi guys, wanted to put in my two cents on face shaving too. While Carli’s results are good. From someone who has tried it, I personally don’t think the shaving or threading is for everyone. My hair definitely grew back longer and thicker and while I could have gotten away with not doing the removal before, now I don’t have a choice because it’s visible and it’s a huge inconvenience. My best option is to get laser removal done as a permanent solution now. I should also add I notice it also depends on your genetics. Im Indian/Chinese mixed.
@ericavalencia99265 жыл бұрын
I tried shaving and I would get ingrown hair/pimples. The worst! Now I thread and its a lot better
@mqk16975 жыл бұрын
Erica Valencia thanks for sharing! My first proper hair removal was actually threading and while the results were clean, my hair definitely grew back longer. I want people to know no matter the method, once you start doing this you can’t stop. It’s a big inconvenience and not worth the risk or even the best case scenario results.

I remember the very first time I shaved my face I used a bic razor (gasp), bad bad idea and I used my regular daily moisturizer (gasp), bad bad idea, my face felt razor burned, lobster red and very irritated skin for like 3 days. Well never did that again, now it’s tinkle razors only and grape seed oil after and I always do it at night. You look beautiful as always even with a yellow bruise doll. ☹️❤️❣️

Adding a Vitamin C solution to your skincare routine will get rid of the dark spots. I use it everyday, because I have/had spots from years of not using Sunscreen, and they are almost completely gone after just a few months use. They look exactly like the ones you have. But, my daughter has hyper-pigmentation spots from acne, which also look like the ones you have, and she's started using my Vitamin C as well, and they are fading really quickly. We use the one from The Ordinary;It works wonderfully!

When shaving your face, it is Not a situation where-when you shave it once- you Have to continue & keep up with it. It will grow back to the way it was before you shaved it. (It does take about a month) However, if you decide to do this (every two weeks) for about 2 or 3 months, you will probably need to continue. The re growth is nothing terribly drastic or crazy but will be slightly noticeable. Most people love the results & continue for a baby smooth face.

Much older than you so been at this hair thing along time. I applaud all the ladies on KZbin who are brave enough to show this technique. I’ve tried it here and there, especially for a special event. Only thing I’d recommend: you’re so young. Don’t pluck those dark, coarse ones. Do only electrolysis on those. No laser: made everything much worse. But electrolysis IS permanent and it’s not expensive. Example: three years after I stopped for the pandemic: was $33 for half an hour. Only need to go back for 15 minutes in two weeks. Not bad for a three year hiatus. Not for peach fuzz but pesky dark or wirey white ones. Also, a heavily plucked spot might take a few treatments as plucking distorts the follicle. “Sprouts” out from the distortion. I love electrolysis: changed my life. Electrical current stings a bit, but there’s numbing gels etc Pain worth the gain 💯
