I’ve done this with both dry skin and then with oil. The results and process are superb with using oil ! I use vitamin e oil and rose oil 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’m oily af and have pores. Waxing, threading, even plucking hairs and sugaring breaks me out nasty! This is the one thing that has worked for me !!❤️ no breakouts ! The key! DONT WEAR MAKEUP for a couple days. Let your skin resurface and heal and pores close 🤌🏽

Thanks for the tip 😊 I have the perfect face oil I could use for doing this which has Hibiscus Oil, Rosehip, Sunflower Seed Oil, Licorice Root. Sea Buckthorn Oil, plus vitamin E and more. My face is already oily so I don’t normally use oils In my skincare routine, but I definitely want to use it for this. Like for my legs I exfoliate 1st with an oil heavy body scrub which helps the razor glide over my legs easier and I get better results from the routine I use for my shaving routine. My only question is could I use this on my upper lip if I have a very light mustache!? I’ve heard mixed things about this…someone said that your hair will come back with stubble and Marlena Stell done her whole face and said she had a bit of a mustache & didn’t have that issue. She said she does it every 2 weeks and never has issues with it growing in thicker or anything. Thanks for any help for this 1st timer. ❤

best tip for if you have any active break outs and want to do this, use those tiny pimple patches and stick them on a clean dry face on all your active break outs. then apply your face oil and begin shaving. that way you know for certain you won't irritate or mess with your breakouts. 😊❤

For those with hormone issues; I also had that & it ended up being gut imbalance triggered/tap water triggered. Don’t use the yellow artificial sweetener sucralose, it will destroy your gut. I switched to FULLY (it must be under 25 PPM water, I use the Zerowater system at that same name online store) purified water and a multivitamin/mineral with ALL the vitamins & minerals in it once a week. 4 years of health issues gone in 5 months. I went to doctors and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. Hormones seem to be caused by malabsorption due to gut issues or stuff you are consuming. Unless it is menopause & in that case be sure to take your vitamins/minerals. ❤️
@JessieLee_
@JessieLee_ 9 ай бұрын
Yes your gut health is so important. Personally I think I’m going through peri menopause, I have the symptoms and my mother went through it at my age. I recently was vitamin B deficient and vitamin D deficient. At the same time I had just (tmi) came out of a month long period and I hadn’t had one for months prior to that month long one. Anyway’s I was also diagnosed with streptococcal arthritis of multiple sites which comes from a strep infection that I didn’t even have symptoms of. So my body was going through a lot, I was put on antibiotics & ofc vitamin D and vitamin B complex. I already suffer from several chronic pain conditions and chronic illnesses, plus anxiety and depression plus more. So when I started having severe anxiety even though I take something for anxiety, I was having panic attacks, heart palpitations, vision problems, severe memory problems, migraines, problems speaking and remembering simple words, all over nerve pain, pins and needles sensation and I just felt like I was going crazy. Come to find out my mom, 2 of my aunts had the rare side effects of having a vitamin B12 deficiency that they had to have vitamin B12 injections because the pills wasn’t working and it can cause long term effects like dementia, cardiovascular and more. I just kept telling myself I’ll be okay and took my vitamins and about a month into taking them I started to feel much better, the memory issues took a few months and some of the all over pain but wow I can’t believe how much a vitamin deficiency can affect your mind and body like it did. I wish I could see a naturalpath doctor because I’ve been dealing with all kind of pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, cognitive issues, anxiety, depression, autoimmune disorders, Endometriosis, all over nerve pain, nerve damage in my spine, huge knots in my back that spasm all the time. I get sick really easily, I do have gut issues like IBS that got worse after I had my gallbladder removed in 2019 and so much more. I spend more time in bed than not and I know doctors get paid to throw medicine at you and I just want someone with compassion, with knowledge of my health issues that will do an extensive blood work to really find out what’s going on and the right vitamins for your body, plus they do Myofascial release and trigger point massage. I wish insurance covered this and I think it’s something that should be covered by insurance but it’s not bc they want us sick imo so we rely on their medicine. Anyways thanks for your comment ❤

heavy on not derma plating with active acne, I am someone who has very bad hormonal acne and is recovering and derma plating while you have acne will really set you back and probably break you out worse. Think about when u pick at a scab and the scab gets worse this is similar to that.

For those of you saying your hair could grow back darker/thicker, you may feel that, due to the fact that you should not 'shave' against growth as it will leave an 'angle' on the new growth surface hair. NEVER shave upwards... but always in the direction of growth.

Not true. My mum's beard grows back really thick. Probably different for individuals . I know a research was carried out that says no but I wonder if it was done among African women. Even when we are born, our hair is very tender, soft and curly. When our soft curly baby hair is shaved, it does not grow back all soft and curly, it grows back really thick, darker, dryer and stubby.

I see that it *might* be a good thing for some, me included, because I have problems with textured skin and make-up not looking as traceless or smooth as I wished for, but I feel like dermaplaning is hyped immensely now without hesitation. People even say things like „it is taking off the vallus hair which is there to protect your skin…“ and don’t even recognize the irony in it or talk about it. Because what people need to understand is, that not only is the hair keeping off some make-up or skincare of the skin, but it also protects the skin from other stuff that might not be so good for it. I even feel that my skin is less irritated with hair on than when I, for example, waxed my upper lip. That being said, I also don’t think peach fuzz is ugly or anything, I think it’s rather cute, at least if it’s not super long, and makes a face look soft. Some ladies‘ faces I have seen, who have no hair on their faces and a glowing film over it, look somehow raw and almost unhuman.^^

That’s not true lol. It only looked “thicker” and “darker” to those people because it was the first time they shaved it and it was cut at a blunt edge so it gives that illusion. Don’t spread false info, it’s been proven time and time again by science, and also it’s just basic anatomy that hair growth or thickness isn’t affected by running a razor on the top of your skin lol. The root is way under the skin, so you’re telling me running a metal razor blade and cutting of the tip of the hair that’s above the surface is the skin sends some magical signal to the root to make the hair grow thicker and darker? No lol

No. It DOES grow back thicker. It also doesn't grow back normal, tapered to lay flat on your face. It grows back like kiwi fruit & I HATE this trend. It literally ruined my life & self esteem. It does make your pores look bigger! And it opens them up for bacteria.

@@jedurick Shaving cannot physiologically make your hair thick. Or dark. That is impossible. It is a proven myth. An old wives tale. When the hair first starts to grow back, it may appear a bit stubby (not like a mans, just a but pokey), that's because you made a straight blunt cut to it. In about 2 days it should completely be back to normal as the hair will taper out as before. Women are so scared of looking masculine or undesirable that they promote all these myths.

Btw for women with major hormone disorders this is tough to read, just be aware of what you're putting out there in words. It took me 10 years to get diagnosed with PCOS and extreme endometriosis, and it effects thing internally and externally including increasing hair growth. It's extremely tough for women with these disorders to live in the everyday western world. I didn't ask for it, it's just a genetic disorder. I also had ITP at a young age and was put on prednisone (a drug also given to cancer patients) and in women it increases testosterone in a huge way so my permanent side effect (for it saving my life) was more hair where I didn't want it. I was 18 years old. So though it may not be 'pretty' to some people (and I choose to maintain it, others don't) it's entirely up to people what they want to do with their bodies as far as hair maintenance. For women with these disorders, like myself, it's extremely painful, expensive and a life long struggle. I have to say when I traveled overseas it was a relief to see gorgeous women with body hair just doing their thing it was a huge eye opener as to just how much we feel we have to remove from ourselves to just-barely-fit as women in western cultures.
