CHRISSY FIRESTONE exactly! This can actually be super helpful for people with acne-prone skin, depending on the type of acne you get. Excess dead skin cells can often clog pores and aggravate/cause breakouts. Obvi work around excess breakouts, but yeah.

Kristen Salkey me too. I tried that for the first time recently (never shaved my face ever prior to that) and I feel like I did a great job. I feel like it’s hard to knick yourself with the one from the hair store because it’s only so sharp, and if you have ever used it to do your brows, it should be simple and safe to do.

Caramel Sweets exactly it's so hard to nip yourself. I do dip the blade In boiling hot water first just to sterilise it and then soak the blade in toner 👌🏾 plus for £1 it's not breaking the bank lol

Liam Alistarr Because it’s not terminal hair. Vellus hair/“peach fuzz” doesn’t behave like more mature hair. Also, not everyone’s terminal hair grows back thicker when shaved. That part varies from person to person based on genetics and hormone levels.

At first I was scared to do this at home so I only shaved the right side. I also went with an actual blade and I can't believe how much skin and fur was accumulating in a small area. It stung after and my skin was red. I applied Black charcoal moisturizer and woke up to a whole new skin tone and glow. I like the tool you're using and will definitely be shaving from now on. Hi, thank you for the video. Just to add here that for sensitive skin, BHA is not recommended to be used before or after dermaplaning. Also, you may consider doing Oil planing instead of this - just add an appropriate oil before shaving, the rest of the steps are the same. 🙂

Khalia from what i’ve researched, you really need to stay clean as a whole layer has been stripped from your face. so avoid strong skincare products (or any products at all) and sleep on a clean pillow case for 24-48 hours and then you can go back to your skincare products. hope this helped

Natural remedies are best. Use organic frozen or cold banana peel for under eye. If dark circles you can also use dot of red lipstick smear on and conceal. 🙂

There should definitely be more moisture and wetness on the skin, the razor should glide. Otherwise you're just creating tiny microtears in the skin.

I need to do it dry or. Y skin actually rubs and snags more, but I absolutely pull it taut and make sure everything is cleaned before and after, clean the razor with alcohol so I’m not introducing bacteria or dead skin from areas I just did to the new areas and avoid touching my face at all after.

I did this and my face was so raw it felt like it was on fire and I got so red and inflamed i couldn’t even put moisturizer on it afterwards when I tried my skin legit had an allergic reaction my skin was literally in so much pain I was crying my eyes out it was flaming red and burning I even cut myself like 3 times and I was bleeding no matter how slow and careful I was even when I held my skin taut I did everything you said I followed all your rules I am never dermaplaning again

So I've been doing research about this dermaplaning. Also known as shaving. So apparently it helps brighten your complexion and gets rid of peach fuzz. There's no need to use this type of razor..."dermaplaning" can be done with any safety razor most guys use for shaving. I use a hand cream or any hair conditioner on my face, then use the razor. It leaves my face fresh and radiant. If I have a bump or a pimple, I go over it with the razor using the SLIGHTEST pressure. This technique also helps scars to disappear. I had a small scar as a child. It's hardly there anymore.

Hair does not grow back thicker. That is a myth. You never actually pull the hair out of the root. When you shave you're essentially breaking the follicles, so it feels blunt rather than feathery. Same when you get a hair cut. When you do a blunt cut and it adds volume but your hair never got thicker.
